We're building the industry's best home search web site and mobile apps with the best MLS-powered data alongside a marketplace of trusted real estate agents to serve clients. Our online business model is radically more efficient, allowing us to reduce costs and offer huge commission refunds back to clients.
Redfin.com is a cutting-edge Web 2.0 site. The speed and richness of our map interface and behind-the-curtain agent tools are unmatched, and our iPhone app continues to win accolades. This is just the beginning, and we need more great Engineers and Product Managers to fully realize our vision.
On the web and in mobile apps, you'll mash up cutting-edge technologies from AJAX to HTML5 to Google Maps to native mobile SDKs. On the back-end, you'll build on Java, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, and Hadoop. Redfin only hires Quality Assurance engineers who can automate tests. We have to since we release major features every two months.
Redfin is a fast paced startup, so every Product Manager and engineer owns a lot. Developers and Quality Assurance engineers are expected to have opinions on business decisions, priorities and features as well as the usual stuff: architecture, design, and code.
Our bar is high, because good engineers only want to work with other good engineers. We have Engineering teams in downtown Seattle and downtown San Francisco.
