Redfin Hires Dave Wilner as Vice President of Real Estate Operations

SEATTLE - Oct. 19, 2006:

Online real estate broker Redfin Corporation today announced the hiring of David Wilner as vice president of real estate operations. Responsible for both strategy and execution, Wilner's charter is to deliver on the company's 100 percent customer satisfaction guarantee and to expand Redfin's real estate business nationwide.

"Redfin is changing the way people buy and sell homes and I am thrilled to be part of it," said Wilner. "With already more than $1 million in refunds, serving customers buying multi-million dollar homes, and near-perfect customer satisfaction, Redfin's growth potential is staggering."

Wilner is a licensed broker in Washington with nearly ten years of residential, commercial and multi-family real estate experience; he also was formerly a partner with one of the country's largest law firms.

Wilner most recently served as vice president of sales at LexisNexis where he was responsible for all sales operations in the organization's fastest growing business unit. Before that, Wilner was an early executive and vice president of sales and business development for Applied Discovery, a provider of risk and litigation management software and services to Fortune 1000 companies. Wilner established the sales operations for Applied Discovery, managed a successful acquisition and stayed on to grow the business to $75 million in revenues and more than $30 million in profit.

"Dave is the ideal Redfin executive, with deep real estate and legal expertise, but also a history of building high-tech startups into large, profitable businesses," said Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman. "We spent months searching across the country for someone who could scale our business nationwide with the passion for customer service, the Redfin flair for innovation, and the grinding financial discipline that are the only reasons we're here today. Just as we wondered whether such a person even existed, we found in Dave a world-class executive. His hiring is a major milestone for Redfin."
