At Redfin, you're always in control. You can talk to our agents without being hassled with follow-up calls or email.
Here's how to take the first step.
Redfin hosts a free two-hour class on the entire home-buying process, reviewing your area's latest pricing data and guiding you through all the home-buying resources on the Web. It's a great way to meet your local Redfin agents, and get a leg up on other home-buyers.
Most folks meet Redfin for the first time by scheduling a tour of homes for sale. The Redfin field agent hosting the tour can answer questions about the company and the process as you move from home to home; he or she can also recommend the best lead agent for your area. You just need a lender pre-approval letter to get started. If you're working with a Redfin partner agent, you have to choose that agent before touring.
When you're ready, pick the Redfin lead agent who will support you throughout the process. You can choose a lead agent you met at one of our home-buying classes, or someone whose profile you read on our site. After an initial consultation, you'll have someone to contact directly when you have questions about a listing or when you're thinking about an offer. In outlying areas not served by Redfin lead agents, a Redfin partner agent will guide you through every step of the home-buying process.
Even if you haven't met Redfin before, we can still represent you on an offer and refund half the commission; just choose a Redfin lead agent and describe the basic terms of your offer. We'll sound out the listing agent or prepare a comparative market analysis (CMA) , then talk to you about pricing. You won't be committed to anything until you sign and fax the final paperwork.
