Buy a Home: Search Online for Homes
In the markets we serve, Redfin shows more listings, with less latency, than any other site. Redfin shows all the homes for sale in the MLS, a database shared by every local real estate brokerage, as well as foreclosures and for-sale-by-owner listings.
Redfin's listing details also include:
- The listing price history.
- Sales history of listings and neighboring homes.
- Property value estimates provided by Zillow.com, eppraisal.com, and Cyberhomes.
- Property outlines.
- School locations and test scores.
- Days on Redfin, showing how long the listing has been on the market.
- The name and number of the seller's agent, if available.

MLS listings with a street address appear as green icons on Redfin's map. Listings associated with a city but without a specific address only appear in the list below Redfin's map, as black icons. Here's a complete legend of Redfin map icons.
You can also search for properties other than those listed for sale in the MLS:
- Past sales, the blue icons. Use these in your CMA to price nearby listings.
- For-Sale-By-Owner homes (sometimes referred to as FSBOs.)
- Bank Listed Foreclosures. Read more about foreclosures.
You can save your search and Redfin will update you in a daily email with new listings, price changes or properties going off the market in your search area.
Redfin's local sites link to information on public records, school information, transportation, services and shops, local blogs, and local news. They also show the most recent postings for the area in Redfin Forums and Sweet Digs, Redfin's local real estate blogs.
