- New Construction
-
A home that hasn't been occupied, where the seller is typically the builder. When searching for homes on Redfin, we define homes for sale as new construction based on whether the listing agent marked them as such in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Otherwise, Redfin marks homes as new construction if they were built within the past year and a half. If a home is on the market for more than two years and is still marked new construction in the MLS by the listing agent, Redfin is not authorized to update the listing. However, even if a new construction home is not listed in the MLS, Redfin agents can still help buyers purchase the home.
