Your Internet browser stores information about most websites you visit in files referred to as cookies. Typically they store information that enables them to determine how many times you have visited their site or they store your login information so you do not always have to enter your username. However sometimes it is possible for cookies to become corrupt which is why we recommend occasionally clearing them.
To clear your cookies in Internet Explorer 8:
- Select the Tools menu.
- Click Internet Options.
- In the General tab, in the Browsing History section click Delete...
- Check the Cookies box.
- Click the Delete button.
- Click the OK button.
To clear your cookies in Internet Explorer 7:
- Select the Tools menu.
- Click Internet Options.
- In the General tab, in the Browsing History section click Delete...
- Click Delete cookies...
- Click the Yes button.
- Click the Close button.
- Click the OK button.
To clear your cookies in Internet Explorer 6.0:
- Select the Tools menu.
- Click Internet Options.
- In the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section click Delete Cookies...
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button again.
To clear your cookies in Mozilla Firefox 3.5:
- Select the Tools menu (the Firefox menu on Macs).
- Click Clear Recent History.
- Click the Details button.
- Uncheck all checkboxes except Cookies and Active Logins.
- Click the Clear Now button.
- Click the OK button.
To clear your cookies in Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or 3.0:
- Select the Tools menu (Firefox menu on Macs).
- Click Options (Preferences on Macs).
- On the Privacy tab select Clear Now.
- Uncheck all checkboxes except, Cookies and Authenticated Sessions.
- Click the Clear Private Data Now button.
- Click the OK button.
To clear your cookies in Safari 3.0 or higher:
- Select the Safari menu.
- Click Reset Safari...
- Uncheck all checkboxes except Remove all cookies.
- Click the Reset button.
