Similarly, each unit will appear as a separate row in the List Only view.

When you select View Details for a listing you will be taken to the details page for that listing. This page contains:

  • The full for-sale listing from the MLS
  • An overhead aerial map of the home showing the property parcel, angled views from each direction (courtesy of Microsoft's Bird's Eye imagery) and, where available, the view from the Street (courtesy of Google's Street View)
  • The listing price history
  • Past sales history and property tax assessments
  • The current market value estimation for the home from Zillow, Eppraisal, and Cyberhomes
  • A list of similar listings for sale and nearby recent sales
  • A list of areas the home is located in with market data specific to the housing type
  • Links to that neighborhood's demographics, schools and school test scores

Zillow calculates the home's value using a proprietary algorithm that leverages recent home sales of comparable homes and other market data to generate a valuation that Zillow calls a Zestimate. The graph charts the change in their Zestimate value for that property over the past one, five or ten years, so you can see how that property has appreciated or depreciated over time. You can find out more information on how the Zestimate is computed at http://www.zillow.com/howto/Zestimate.htm.

Cyberhomes and Eppraisal calculate the home's value using their own proprietary algorithms that incorporate recent sales of comparable homes and other market data.

Close to the bottom of the details page you will see a list of similar nearby active listings and similar recent sales. We select these by searching for the closest homes of the same type that are approximately +/-15% of the square footage of the home you are viewing. (For homes without square footage data we look at the number of bedrooms.) For recent sales, we look for sales that occurred within the past six months. You can use this information to get a better sense of whether a listing price is fair or not. You can find out more about determining a home's market value in Redfin's pricing guidance section.

At the bottom of the details page you will see a list of areas the home is located in with market data specific to the housing type for each region. Click on a region name to get that area's page with more information on local inventory and market conditions.

If there is an error or omission in the information about a property, click the Report a Problem link in the My Redfin section on the right to let us know. Please include as much detail as you can to describe the problem.
