Map Statistics

Redfin's statistics panel calculates the median price as well as relevant averages for all home and condo listings returned for your search. If your search includes sale records we include a similar row of statistics for them.

In the map view, you can view these statistics directly below the search results by first going to Change View and selecting Statistics under the display options.

Using both the map statistics and sale records, you can quickly determine median prices for homes for sale and recently sold. For example, you can compare prices of homes for sale on the top of a hill, versus the bottom of a hill to assess how much the view adds to the cost. You also can get a feel for the points where home valuations in a given neighborhood change drastically from the overall area.

Export to a Spreadsheet

In the map statistics section there is a DOWNLOAD RESULTS link. Clicking this will save the current search results being displayed to a spreadsheet. This spreadsheet is in comma-separated values (CSV) format. Almost all spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheets can import this format. Downloading your search results to a spreadsheet is helpful when you are doing a Comparative Market Analysis. If you would like to learn more about doing a comparative market analysis see our pricing guidance advice.
