Map Tips

Map Settings

1. Get email updates

Sign up to get email alerts when homes that match your criteria change prices, have an upcoming open house, or go off or on the market. Learn more.



2. Sort by column

Click on a map list column header to sort your results.



3. Download search results

Click the download icon on the lower left corner of the map to dump the results of your search into your favorite spreadsheet program to slice and dice any way you like.



4. Save a search for RSS

Click "Save" in the lower left corner of the map to get updates to your search criteria in your favorite RSS program.



5. Save a favorite home

Click the heart icon on the right map side pane to save a home as a favorite. You can sign up for email alerts when your favorite homes have a price or status change on your Favorites page in My Redfin. Learn more about favorites.



6. X-out a home

Tired of seeing the same home you don't like? Just click the blue "X" icon on the right map side pane. Learn more.



7. Email to a friend

Send the homes you like to friends and family members by clicking the "Envelope" icon on the right map side pane.



8. Browse home photos on the map

Click the arrows underneath the photo of the home to browse through all the photos available without leaving the map. You can also use the arrow keys.



9. Switch between the map and list

Click the up or down arrow at the bottom of the map to see a full map or a full list of homes on the page.



10. Scroll through all units in a building

Browse homes in a building by clicking the arrows at the bottom of the right map side pane.



11. Quick map changes map view

Click "Quick Map" under the listing photo on the right side pane to see the home in a zoomed-in view.



12. See more stats on the neighborhood

Click "More Local Stats and Trends" to see all the data on neighborhood prices, local schools, and more.



Map Search Tips

1. See Redfin agents' home tour notes

Click on the homes with yellow stars to see notes that Redfin agents have left about the home's condition.



Search by keywords like "fireplace" or "pool" to filter your results.



3. Find homes with price reductions*

See homes in your search that had a price reduction by setting the "Price Reduced" range in the middle column of the search box under Listing Facts.



*Price reduced may only be available when signed-in with verified email due to MLS restrictions.

4. Find new listings

Search homes that just came on the market by selecting "New Listings" in the right-most column of the search box.



5. Find new construction homes

Click "New Construction" in the right most search box column to include only new construction homes in your search.



6. Find homes with open houses

Click "Open Houses" in the right most search box column to include only homes with upcoming open houses in your search. Use the drop down menu to select the open house time frame.



7. Find homes that just sold

Click the blue house icon indicating "Sale Records" on the left hand column of the search box and select "Last 1 week" to see homes that just sold in your search area. Learn more about how looking at sold homes can help your search.



Listing Details Tips

1. See a home's sale history

Scroll down listing details pages to see the sale history of the home including price changes and the dates it went on and off the market.



2. See the home's price estimates

We partner with Zillow.com and eppraisal.com to show you the estimates of what the home is worth so you can make a competitive offer.



3. See the home's public record information

We have property tax information from the county on every home for sale.



4. See similar homes for sale and those that sold

Check out similar listings' pricing and $/sq.ft. and similar homes that just sold to get a feel for a fair price of the home you're looking at.



5. Browse nearby schools

See local schools with ratings and parent reviews near the home for sale. Check out our Schools page for more info.



6. See community information

At the bottom of the listing details page you'll find links to nearby grocery stores and restaurants so you can get a feel for the neighborhood.



7. Email driving directions

Click the "Directions" link in the right hand side bar to get Google Maps directions to this home. Once you're in Google Maps, you can also see traffic conditions near the home and metro and bike routes under the "More" option in Google Maps.



8. Share on Facebook

Share the home with your Facebook friends by clicking the Facebook icon on the right hand side bar.



9. Tweet the home

Send a tweet about the home to your Twitter followers by hitting the Tweet button on the upper right hand side bar.
