Working with Angela was fantastic. She was very helpful, willing to answer every question I had, and was somehow always available. She made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Although the deal did not close because the seller decided not to move, I hope that she will be able to help us through the next one. |

Angela was very professional and personable, easy to get a hold of and very enthusiastic in her efforts to assist us. She went out of her way to keep in touch during critical times and actually called us on her day off, which I felt was very commendable. She was dedicated to us and kept all communications open at all times. We owe her our most sincere thanks. |

Angela is extremely helpful, supportive, and responsive. Particularly if you are connected via BlackBerry type services, Redfin's approach works flawlessly for those reasonably comfortable with conducting business virtually. Angela was comfortable to work with and helped smooth the stressful process of home buying. Thank you.

Angela is great. It amazes me how quickly she responds to emails and phone calls even though she is covering such a large customer base. Nothing personal against Angela, she is doing her absolute best to be helpful, but something is definitely dropped when an offer is written, as Angela has not seen the home and cannot make helpful suggestions nor negotiate successfully with the seller to fix certain things or negotiate on the price depending on a undesirable characteristic of the home. These things, however, are to be expected in using a massive, cost efficient brokerage service such as Redfin. In the end, I think the systematic short falls of Redfin is worth the 50% rebate they offer in the end. Angela is great though; she is doing her absolute best in her environment. |

Over all quite positive experience. There was some elements missing from being proactive and staying on top of the deal. I can only compare with services of another agent during the offer stage of the deal and this service at best could be ranked - average. There was just too many things I had to do myself with little help, but over all since this is Redfin and there is a rebate check I was expecting this. I am very happy with Redfin services though and will recommend to anybody as long as they are prepared to do some investigation and prepwork themselves. I was a real estate agent in the past (Century 21) so I know very well how service can be provided and what can be done. On top I am a very demanding judge that almost never gives 10s unless someone really deserves it. Hope this explains only 8 on ranking. |

We sold our home in Rancho Mirage about 3 1/2 years ago and moved o Mission Viejo where we rented a house in a senior gated community. We liked this community so much we decided to buy in here, so we contacted Angela at Redfin. Mind you this was a few years ago. Angela put us on her mailing list and sent us all the listings inside our community for about 2 years. Every time a new property came on the market or a price dropped or a house was sold, Angela found out about it and forwarded the information to us. Sometimes we would get 3, 4 or more updates a week. Finally after 3 and 1/2 years we found the house we wanted at the price we wanted. Angela never bugged us, never called us, never wrote us unwanted letters or emails. She just let us do our own thing at our own pace and that is one of the reasons we loved dealing with Redfin and with Angela. When we found houses we wanted to see, we notified Angela by email through the Redfin site and THEN we received a call from the Redfin person who actually took us to see the houses. In our case her name was Minnie and she was always there on time every time with the keys to all the houses we wanted to see. Just her and not the sellers agent to get in our way. After looking at numerous houses we used the Redfin site to make an offer on line via the internet and email. All the documents were emailed to me and then I would sign them and fax or email them back to Angela. When our offer was accepted the Redfin team started sending me emails with instructions at each step of the procedure. All documents were easy to understand and explained in perfect detail. All meetings and inspections were set up by Redfin ON MY SCHEDULE and we had a flawless experience and closing. Thanks to Angela and her wonderful assistant Sara who is the Redfin buyers Coordinator. Redfin was so easy to deal with, so easy to do, everything was easy! Just the way we liked it. Easy, and did I mention Profitable too! At the closing Redfin gave us back $5700 which they had received as part of their commission, which as you know is paid by the seller. So, basically I had no out of pocket expenses to pay. All I needed to come up with was my down payment. Would I use Redfin again? I wouldn't use anybody else. I'd be a fool not to use them for every home purchase I will ever make. Should you use Redfin? You Betcha! Oh, I forgot to mention. Redfin has the best web site for searching the MLS. Just put an area you are interested in on their map, and bingo, all the homes for sale in that area of the map are listed with street addresses, photos, details etc. Want to see a different area - just move the map.

Angela was absolutely wonderful. We placed offers on 3 different houses through her and she was helpful and guided us through the process and negotiations very patiently. The house we bought ended up being a short sale 30 days in and escrow lasted 2.5 months. Even though Redfin does not support short sales, since we had already placed the offer, Angela and Redfin supported us through the entire process. Angela was superb and on top of all parties involved. The listing agent was not very responsive and professional, so Angela got her boss involved to meet all milestones. In the end, it worked out great for us and we love our new house. Thanks, Angela!

She is very pleasant to work with, very attentive, and thorough. There were just a couple of things that came up that needed assistance from her broker. The main issue was contractual and it was confusing to have her give us the wrong information about our closing date. She really exceeded our expectations otherwise. I would use redfin again and Angela for sure. *one note: w/ redfin since the showing agent is not the main agent you work with. I wish angela had seen the home prior to writing the contact. it is difficult to speak to her about the home when she hadn't seen it and we missed adding things in contract that were an issue later. Since my last home was with a conventional agent that was one downfall. |
Angela was very patiently helped us successfully completing the transection despite the tough communication situation. We,the buyers were out of the country and the negotiations were through a Power-of Attorney; and the seller's agent was not responsive. |

We were very pleased with her work. She kept us informed and got back to us right away. She kept us involved in the negotiation, and got us a good price. Overall, we have nothing but positive things to say about her. |
Have done three other residential RE transactions prior to working w/ Redfin and Angela. Found Angela to be very prompt, professional, honest and personable to work with. I was sceptical about working Redfin vs. a 'full service' broker; after completing this latest transaction with Angela, I can honestly say it was a great experience and I would gladly recommend Angela to any of my friends who were in the market to buy or sell. If all your agents are representing your company the way Angela did on my transaction, you will no doubt continue to be a successful organization and a viable alternative to the traditional 'full service' brokerage houses. |
The overall experience was satisfactory, but I would say that buyers with no other contacts in the Real Estate business or without prior experience should consider a full-service agency. Redfin is great for what you pay, and they were able to handle everything that came up, although "proactive" is not a term I would use here. When you are dealing with a short escrow and unresponsive sellers, the disconnected nature of the Redfin service can be very stressful on a buyer. Again, having other resources to ask and give advice, as well as understanding the reduced commission, Redfin met my expectations, but I would repeat my warning to inexperienced buyers. |
Angela was always on top of things. She was actively negotiating on our part with the seller's agent. When the appraiser came back with a lower estimation of the value of the house she immediately got on the phone with the seller's agent, and the price went down accordingly. Needless to say, we were quite happy about that. |
Angela is fantastic! From our initial browsing, to taking tours, to making offers and throughout escrow, Angela (and the whole team) was there 100% 24/7. I am CERTAIN we would not have gotten this house without Angela as it was listed, offers made, and removed from the MLS within DAYS. She quickly (on the weekend and at night) worked with us to get the offer and needed follow-up and got us this dream house. THANK YOU ANGELA!!! |

My husband and I were very pleased with the Redfin approach to real estate and with Angela as well as the entire Redfin team. But I would agree with some of the other reviewers' comments that Angela may be stretched to the max as the only agent covering this big of a territory, especially as this market has really become a giant bid war. Important thing is that when push came to shove, Angela delivered! She is very business savvy. Once my offer looked like it would be accepted by the bank (it was a bank owned property), she became very, very attentive and actually beat me to the punch in sending emails to reassure me, as the bank took its time in formally finalizing our agreement. Overall, a big thank you to Redfin! |

Redfin's service was great! Angela was very professional and responsive to all my questions throughout the transaction. I would recommend Angela without hesitation. |

It was great to work with Angela, and she made the process very easy. She was timely in getting back to us, and sufficiently well-informed to answer most of our questions. Where she didn't have an immediate answer, she would research the issue and follow up with us. Angela was also very helpful in working with Escrow, at the end of the purchase process, to ensure that spurious escrow fees were removed from our closing costs. Our two criticisms: (1) We wish that she had done more to explain certain negotiated terms that we came across in the offer/counter-offer process (specifically, HOA Transfer fees - it would have been helpful to get a clearer understanding of what these fees were, and how much they would be, earlier in the negotiations process, as they became a point of contention later on in the process). (2) We wish that Angela had been more proactive in working with Escrow earlier in the process. Although she was very helpful in the end to get certain unnecessary fees removed, we felt that we were left to negotiate with Escrow by ourselves throughout much of the process. It might have been easier and less stressful had Angela stepped in earlier to assist. Despite these two issues, Angela, on the whole, did an outstanding job in representing us and negotiating for us, and we would be more than happy to work with her and Redfin again.

Angela was very supportive and resourceful throughout the somewhat stressful process of buying a home that was owned by the evil Countrywide and that was listed by a particularly incompetent and unresponsive listing agent. Hopefully anyone reading this knows that "Redfin is not for everyone" in that all communication with the agent is through phone or email, so you have to be comfortable with that going into it. Given that framework, Angela was very communicative throughout the whole process, especially after the initial offer. We felt like we kind of had to figure out strategy of how much to offer, counteroffer, etc on our own, but I think that's just the reality of working with an agent who covers such a large geographic area and might not be familiar with the dynamics of the exact neighborhood the home is in (also during a very volatile time in the market). We also didn't realize until after making the offer that even in buying a foreclosure you can sometimes get the seller to pay closing costs (fortunately this was a moot point because we were lucky to find a loan program that covered virtually all of the closing costs). Anyway, once the seller had accepted an offer, Angela was very diligent about following up with everything and keeping us posted about the progress of the deal. As first time homebuyers, we had a lot of questions and she very patiently took the time to answer them and educate us about the whole complicated process of buying a home. The main thing that was stressful was that the Bank Addendum set very strict contingency timelines. Angela assured us that this wouldn't be a big deal because she could just file for an extension. When the time came, this turned out to be easier said than done. At certain points Angela seemed stressed out that the listing agent and bank weren't responding to her extension requests (which she said was unusual) and this made us stressed too. It took us a while to really understand that the language of the Bank Addendum meant that if they refused to an extension and the deadline passed, we could lose the $5000 we had already put in. Fortunately this didn't happen, largely because Angela was so persistent in contacting the listing agent and advocating for us. So overall, she did a good job and we would recommend her to other homebuyers. And the Redfin rebate check is for real, so it's definitely worth it if you're willing to do everything over email/ phone.

Angela was very passive and non-communicative; she did nothing to drive this deal forward or to protect our rights/interests as Buyers. She allowed the Sellers to walk all over us and herself and did nothing to protect our rights or to champion our terms. She allowed the Sellers to dictate all the terms, allowed them the opportunity to continuously change their minds, allowed them to unnecessarily prolong the negotiating period, and allowed them to be not liable to their counter-offers. Based on her advice, we had actually agreed/signed and submitted two different counter-offers. But, the Sellers were not bound to their counter-offer and had opportunities to further re-evaluating their own counter (which we had already accepted)...further prolonging and complicating the transaction. Despite her supposed 10+ years of experience (her LinkedIn profile only shows 3 years of real estate experience), we were able to negotiate better terms ourselves than she could...and SHE was getting frustrated at us for not allowing her to "coach" us. In fact, we had to coach her on how to position us and our terms to the Seller and even then we did not get the sense she conveyed our messages/ideas the way we intended. At various points, she recommended we walk away from this deal because it was too complicated...too complicated for her! What good agent advises their client to walk away from their dream home instead of working to make the deal happen? Most of the time, we felt we were the only ones who wanted the deal to happen. In fact, on one conference call with the Sellers' agent (we requested a conf-call with the Sellers' agent because we could not get any answers from Angela), Angela provided anecdotal evidence that supported the Sellers' position instead of ours! At the most crucial juncture of the sales contract negotiations, she took herself out of the deal ignoring our calls and emails without any notice. Her excuse is that she's too busy. We have full-time jobs AND we were able to make this a priority...whereas this IS her full-time job yet she was often unreachable. We had to do some detective work to reach the Redfin branch manager and have someone else assigned to our deal. Lastly, Angela's "recommendations" were largely useless…she'd pretty much state the obvious choices and say we could do whatever we wanted. I'm also pretty certain she just passed along documentation for us to sign without reading it first (e.g. there were several terms that protected the Seller but not us and Angela said nothing, didn't reference them or point them out to our attention, and did not suggest ways to protect ourselves). If you're dealing with a very straight-forward transaction and have no intentions of negotiating, I'm sure Angela would suffice. But if the transaction gets a little intricate, requires creative problem solving, or requires an ounce of aggressiveness, we STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND Angela Creech. |

Angela was excellent -- really top-notch. As first-time homebuyers, we felt we couldn't have asked for an agent who was more helpful, knowledgeable, and on top of things to help us to negotiate and close on our new home. -Angela's follow-through was excellent - she followed through on everything she said she would, coordinated with the seller's agent and escrow, and replied to every email and phone message, which was no small task considering that hundreds of communications were involved. -Angela's communication skills were excellent - we always felt she clearly heard, understood, and responded to everything we discussed, which again is no small thing considering that all of our communication was over phone and email. -Angela's accessibility was excellent -- besides during the week, Angela would return our calls and emails even during evenings and weekends, and was always accessible for time-sensitive tasks such as making offers and counteroffers. -On top of all of this, Angela is warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. In our experience, we learned that Angela's style was not to push advice onto us, but that she will answer every single question you ask her in her friendly and efficient manner -- even if you are a first-time homebuyer and you have a long list of questions. We learned a lot about buying a home and had a great experience working with Angela. Thanks Angela!

Angela's Response
We want to be an advocate for every client while always making sure that the client is the one making the final decision on whether or not to buy a particular house. Sometimes we go a bit too far in trying to make sure we are not pressuring clients that we fail to provide the guidance they want. Moving forward, we are working harder to make sure we share our expertise without making anyone feel pressured. |

The redfin team was very professional and responses were always fast. Our experience was better than expected. Angela was very helpful, responding to our questions even during weekends and evenings. |

Angela was very passive and did not give a lot of feedback regarding the homes.
Angela's Response
At Redfin, we try to strike a balance between providing useful advice and perspective on the one hand and not making our clients feel like we are trying to pressure them into a sale on the other hand. In this case it looks like we erred in not offering our opinion as to the positive and negative features of the homes that were being viewed. In the future, we will work to provide more feedback in a way that does not make anyone feel like they are being pressured into a home they may not want. |

Angela provided calm, steady and thorough assistance throughout my entire purchase process. She was congenial, professional, accessible, and very prompt in returning phone calls and emails. Though we never met (as is standard in the Redfin process), I felt as though she was there for me every step of the way. All in all (and because I was already very familiar with my market area), I had an excellent experience with Redfin. Knowing I had the refund check coming was a big part in my decision to work with Redfin, and I'm glad I did. The assistance I received from others at Redfin (tours, field agents) was excellent as well. |

Angela is very sweet, very personable, and is accessible. Which are all great traits! As a person, she is beyond great. However, as an agent, it's difficult to get follow-up. We expect our agent to be on top of their game, to get us information we need, to be thorough and complete, and this is where she was lacking. We expected a completely different experience than the one we got. While again, Angela was very kind and available, we felt like we had an inexperienced agent who was not informed enough to guide us and help us make the wisest choices. We're going to look for a traditional agent who will act more aggressively and pro-actively on our part. |

Overall, I was very happy with Angela, and the whole Redfin experience. Angela was communicative, helpful and quick to respond (even when she was on vacation). This was a first time purchase (in the US) for my wife and I, and so the whole process was new to us, but there was no question that we got the support and help and explanations that we needed. The sale was not as smooth as it might have been, which was, I might add, nothing to do with Redfin or Angela. The house was an REO, and the selling bank reorganized itself while we were in escrow, which caused a delay of almost a month in closing - most annoying was the uncertainty, that it seemed that the bank was always going to close in a couple of days. A concern I had with Redfin was that they might not work well with the selling agent, who might resent the Redfin model, and/or see them as a threat. However, Angela and the selling agent worked very closely together, and as far as I could tell, they had a great working relationship. They kept me in the loop by including me on the emails that passed between them. In the three months between offering and closing, Angela and I had around 100 email threads, some of which had up to 15 emails in them (including when Angela was on vacation, skiing somewhere). We also spoke on the phone occasionally. (I always prefer to use email, because then I've got it in writing and can refer back to it). One minor change I would make to the Redfin process was the viewing system - I'd like to have more of that online. When we made an appointment to view a house, we got an email confirming it, from the viewing agent - however, that agent didn't have a Redfin email address, and didn't mention Redfin, so I couldn't find easily find their email again to check what it said. They then rang up on the morning to see if I could change the time (which was fine), but then I had trouble remembering what I'd agreed to - if we'd been able to look at a web page, and check what I'd said. |

This house had a major title issue and took 7 months to close, yet Angela showed amazing patience and persistence, and was always conscientious even when things got tense a few times. Based on all the time spent on this deal, I don't think Redfin made any money on it, but they stayed with it and we got the house. Angela is truly an asset to Redfin. Thanks!!!! |

The transaction coordinator did not serve any purpose and only provided a false sense of security. It would have been better had we and/or our direct agent had all communication with Escrow, the Bank, and the Seller. There were too many people involved for closing. |

All in all the experience of working with Redfin was great. Since this was our first time home buying, I don't think we could have expected any better. I think the agent and coordinator and the field agent, all of them were great professionals to work with and met or exceed our expectation on most of the situations. The redfin refund was a great help financially. I would like to see more and more people using Redfin. |

Fantastic website and you really have a good product for someone who wants to drive the process. I had mentioned to my agent I would be happy to speak at an event on the process if you ever need anyone to do that. I have bought and sold 4 homes previously and this was by far the most cost-effective solution. I'll say it again - you have a fantastic technology platform. |
Great service. Angela Creech should teach your people how to act and conduct business. She is terrific and very calm. Also, your survey doesn't work. When you type in an answer in "other" in question #6, your survey doesn't recognize the response and acts like a response is still pending. |

I think there may be a market for "coddling" fist time home buyers a bit more than those who are buying the second or third home. But, I still would highly recommend your services and don't really see why we still need traditional agents to help us buy houses. Thanks |

With USAA, they have a 'loan status' page that the underwriters manage to let me know the status on the loan. With Redfin, I would have liked to see something similar that the transaction coordinator/agent could fill out that I could look at. I think its important for first time buyers especially who are nervous that they are going to screw something up since they never see the agent. Something that has a list of things like offer submited, offer accepted, the list of contingencies with due dates and schedule dates and other things with the escrow company. I know it would have freed both myself and Angela up more because I wouldnt continuously call to ask how things were going and what was next. It would also be an instantaneous look for angela to look at our file and remember where we are. |

Our offer on a bank owned property was not accepted by the bank. It appears the house sold for $326,250. Our offer was $335,000 with $105,000 down payment (>20% down). We have excellant credit. Not sure what the situation was that the bank accepted a lesser offer, but I was wondering if the bank had any problems dealing with Redfin and the fact that you give 2% back to the buyer. Can you shine any light on this matter? Other than not getting the house we made an offer on we enjoyed doing business with both agents. Thank you! Hope we can find that right home and buy it with the help of Redfin. |

Redfin is horrible!!! I wish I had never even heard about you. I am very not satisfied from the representation of Redfin, Angela Creech, and her manager Erik (e.g., being understaffed such that it not allowed for me to enter the property for inspection per paragraph 2.E. of the Purchase Agreement Addendum; no replies, not getting counter offer on time, didn’t send recommended service providers, made mistakes about the escrow deadlines, etc.). I feel your agent is unqualified, inexperienced, I am not confident in her qualifications; she seems to be directing all of my problems to Erik so there is no effective dealing with her. Additionally, I didn’t realize that your company is not sufficiently staffed to deal with my needs – you have one agent representing the entire area, which is ridicules! No matter what is going to happen, I had fully intention on requesting my 100% money back.At some point, after consulting with my lawyer, I was willing to allow you to get out of my contract with Redfin. I could continue with completing the transaction, which would have consumed an enormous amount of yours and your agent’s time, wherein ultimately at the end I would be asking for a full refund and any and all costs that I am entitled to. I wanted to terminate this contractual relationship immediately, with no further efforts required from either side. I felt that a mutual release of obligations will best solve this ordeal.I have just spoken with many professors colleagues who are very actively involved in real estate investment. I strongly discouraged them from even thinking about using Redfin. Working with Redfin was one of the most horrible experiences of my life. I needed to pay a lot for lawyers just to deal with Redfin. It was painful, time consuming, very not professional and def. bad experience. I would never use Redfin and will never recommend it. Furthermore, I am going to write everything in blogs online, and am going to open a specific website, as well as to contact editors I know at Wall Street Journal and New York Times, with the goal of elaborating (I have everything documented in writing) in specific details how Redfin made my life miserable after submitting the offer with you. |

It would be nice to improve / refine the search options...ie search for houses with a pool, etc. Also, on the main search page, it should show attached or detached. Sometimes when I search for only a house and don't click condo, there are still some attached properties that make the list (probably from bad listings by the listing agent) Then I click on the details and it opens up the new window, only to find out that it is an attached home/condo. If the picture window on the right hand side of the main screen said attached or detached, it could help quickly scroll through the main list. Also, the showing agent (Anna) she was a very nice lady, but didn't seem to have research completed. We knew from another agent that a house we were seeing was only taking offers for one more day due to multiple offers. Anna seemed surprised by that. If we hadn't heard from another agent we might have missed the chance to put in an offer by the deadline (this was for 9649 Frascatti in Santee). Also, it is tough as she is the only showing agent in San Diego County. I know it is cheaper to use redfin due to less money spent showing properties, but it is hard to schedule a house tour when there is only one agent in SD county and they don't show past 5:30 (most people get off at 5:00 like me). |

Redfin is the wave of the future. |
I like Redfin because I don't have to deal with sales pressure. I like the refund policy. I don't feel like I have a parner out looking for a house for me to buy, but I don't really need that right now. I think if I was in a hurry and needed a house now I would like to hire a traditional realtor. I think a traditional realtor may be able to notify me of potential deals before the general public knows about them. So far I am very happy with Redfin and will continue to use it. I have refered Redfin to my brother in law who is looking for a house and he wishes he knew about redfin sooner because he now feels obligated to the realtor he has been working with and hs spent alot of time trying to help them find a house. I think my redfin agent did a great job in preparing my offer and communicating to me how the process works. I look forward to working with her again. |

My husband and I really enjoyed this experience a lot. Our "Redfin Team", as we deemed Angela, Sara, and Anna, were great. We loved that nobody tried to show us property that was "just a little more expensive". Initially, the fact that they weren't commission-driven made us feel comfortable trusting them, as we felt they were free to have our best interests at heart. After we got to know them, we realized that they're also great people who know what they're doing. They were wonderful, and the refund we received paid for all our closing costs, which was so wonderful. Rather than have a lower refund percentage with more service options, I'd much rather keep the refund at 2/3 and keep the level of service the same, because the service was great just as it is. |
A detailed timeline of the events that need to occur (during escrow) would have been helpful. There also seemed to be quite a bit of confusion about how the 2% refund is distributed. The wording of the refund document we had to sign was confusing. |
The assigned agent should be a home boy (local) to the area we targeting. We need the pricing, locality, other options, etc feedback from he or she. If not the offers don't go far do to the lack of local expertise. |
