Excellent. I can't think of a better term to describe our experience with Corey. He went above and beyond what we expected from any agent. |

Corey did an excellent job in helping me purchase my home. He was EXTREMELY available and attentive throughout the entire process. I made my offer on October 5th, and closed the 30th, which coincided with the end of my lease. The entire process was smooth and Corey was excellent to work with. I would highly recommend him, and any of your staff for someone looking to buy a new home. |

Corey was readily available and always helpful. He gave great and experienced advise but without pressuring us into any specific decision. He gave us the info we needed and then left it to us to make the call, which we really appreciated. Plus he's a funny, nice guy who was easy to talk to which is a bonus when you're in contact with someone so frequently! Thanks Corey! |

We enjoyed working with Corey. He was very professional and reliable. We'd definitely recommend him to others! |

Corey really delivered on the Redfin promise of great customer service. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and impressively responsive. Rarely did we have to wait more than a few hours to hear back from him regarding one of our questions, and as first-time homebuyers, we had a LOT of questions. In fact, the entire Redfin experience was an unquestionably positive one for us. We expected it all to hinge on the quality of their realtors, and we were surprised at how much personal attention Corey was able to afford us. Realistically, I know that we were far from his only customers, but his attention to detail and responsiveness made us feel as though we were. |

We were dealing with sellers who were slow to respond and Corey was quick to let me know when he heard from them, but I would have liked some kind of communication at least once a day to let me know that he was still following up with them and hadn't heard anything.

Corey was great to work with, and helpful from start to finish. He is very familiar with the market and that helped in terms of me firming up my offer ... and also knowing that I had found a really great condo. He provided reassurance during stressful times, followed up on glitches immediately and was always there to answer questions. Corey has a good sense of humor, and he's smart and kind. I really enjoyed working with him and enthusiastically recommend him. |

My wife and I started to look for a home by visiting open houses in the area that we wanted to purchase. While looking through the houses we explained to the sellers agents that we where thinking about using Redfin to purchase our first home and were given many reasons why we should choose a "full-service" real estate agent. After closing on our dream house, for a price well below comps, we have absolutely no regrets with our choice of using Redfin. The sellers agents definiton of "full-service" is obviously quite different than ours. We value an agent whos incentives are inline with our best interest (Our homes cost did not determine our agents pay) and a company who is willing to share half of the 3% commission with us. It was a pleasure working with Corey; he was always available to answer my questions and it was obvious that he had our best interest in mind. |

Corey was readily available for questions. He was knowledgable and walked me through the process since I was a first time home buyer. During negotiation, I felt like he was looking out for my best interest and not just giving me advice to close the deal.

Everything went really well. We only had one problem and that was a mix up with the closing date, but it all worked out in the end. |

I had a terrible experience with Corey, but in fairness, it probably had more to do with the Redfin process than with Corey himself. My husband and I have been looking at houses for almost 2 years with Redfin and have made several offers that didn't go through, mostly through Allie. Overall, our experience has been great. Allie is fantastic. This time around, we spotted a house the day it came on the market and knew it had potential. We wanted to see it right away, but the soonest time Redfin could get us in was the following evening. We submitted a full-price offer through the website that night and spoke with Corey for the first time mid morning the following day. By the time he had called the listing agent to let her know that we were submitting a full-priced offer, the sellers had already sent a counter offer to buyers who had offered less than list price earlier that morning. We lost the house. We have been looking for almost 2 years and have seen every house worth seeing in Ballard and around. This house was an incredible/insane value and should have listed for 75k higher. Another opportunity like this will surely not come our way. We are devastated to have lost the property and will always look back on this as a life-changing event. Redfin was just too slow. It is so difficult to live with this knowing that even a simple email or phone call an hour or two earlier would have made the difference. I am not sure, but I believe that if Allie had been in charge of this one, she would have reached out to the listing agent sooner given we were offering list price. I think the blame here falls with Redfin's process and Corey's lack of initiative. Your agents should know enough to move immediately if they see a full-price offer come in. If they don't have the experience to think of that themselves, it should be built into your process. A simple email to the listing agent when a full-price offer comes into your website would be easy and effective.
Corey's Response
At Redfin, we strive to be as fast as possible in helping people go out and tour homes as well as drafting and presenting offers. However, one of the biggest challenges with highly desirable, well priced properties is that they attract offers very quickly. In this case, our client's offer was submitted in the evening, and before noon on the following day, we'd made contact with the listing agent, only to find that they were already exchanging counter-offers with another buyer. We immediately let the listing agent know the quality of our client's offer, but the sellers ultimately decided to move ahead with the other buyer before our client's signed offer arrived less than three hours later that day. |
