Febe was fantastic to work with. She's diligent, has great communication, and was able to explain certain aspects of the transaction in plain English so I could understand what was going on. As a first time home buyer, she made it very simple stupid by explaining every step of the process. She kept herself very accessible to any questions I had, and though there was a little delay due to the broker, she was able to guide me through. I would recommend Redfin to anybody. They have dedicated people handling their contracts and the same goes with their field agents. |

We got the house. There were multiple offers and ours was the one the sellers picked. There is not a lot of hand holding with Redfin. There were some incorrect assumptions we made that Febe did not correct. I never actually met Febe. The field agents are great. The refund is awesome. Don't expect anyone to hold your hand. The process felt very similar to making vacation plans without a travel agent. As a buyer, you have more ownership in the process. After the offer was accepted, we closed in less than a month. We actually closed early, as we wanted to. Febe made some great recommendations for our lender and home inspector. Redfin did arrange a home inspector to come out on short notice when we were having problems finding someone. In all, Redfin and Febe were there when we needed them.

Evaluation of our overall experience: We made an offer on this house on Thursday evening and did not hear from an agent (Josh Sanders) until Friday evening. I was in a meeting and could not take Josh's call. I asked him to call me back Saturday morning, which he did not. I called him in the afternoon and left him a message. He did not return my call and instead sent me an email stating that he will be out of office for the remainder of the weekend and would work on the offer on Monday. At that point my wife emailed Cheryl McClaine, whom we had worked with on an offer last year. Cheryl immediately returned our email and was in contact with us on Sunday. However, she was unable to help us because she was representing another buyer that had put in a bid that morning for the same house. Febe was brought in to help us submit our offer. In the end we lost the bid, and can't help but feel that we may have had a better chance had our offer been handled in a more timely manner. Had we waited for Josh we would not have had the chance to place an offer. I understand that there must be a very high volume of transactions occurring right now, and not every offer can be expedited. However, Josh should have understood that an offer submitted on Thursday evening should not have been left until Monday. The offer process and responsiveness of Cheryl in our past transaction was far superior to what we experienced this time. The cash back that Redfin offers is very attractive and is the primary reason that we choose to go through Redfin. However, in hindsight I would have preferred to use a traditional real estate agent for their attentiveness and quick response. I'm not sure if I would use Redfin again or recommend it to anyone else. |

I retained Febe's services for the purchase of my first home, and overall had a good experience with her and Dorcas, her transaction coordinator. Febe was extremely knowledgeable and was very patient with me when I bombarded her with incessant questions. I was definitely a high maintenance client, but Febe was able to accomodate most of my needs, even when I changed loan terms and my closing date at the last minute. She even went out of her way to provide a partial credit for a fan kit that I wanted for the fireplace. In the end, I think we were able to negotiate a reasonable deal for my home. However, as a first time homebuyer, I did feel like perhaps I could have been guided through the process a little better. I found myself catching little mistakes in the contracts and following up with Febe and Dorcas on important dates and documents instead of the other way around. But given her workload, it was probably unrealistic to assume that she would have the time to focus on every little detail. Overall, I would defintely recommend Febe's services to anybody looking to purchase a home, but also advise first time homebuyers who use Redfin to be as prepared as possible and take responsibility for ensuring that closing happens smoothly and efficiently. |

Over the 6 months that we worked together, Febe was a consummate professional that made sure all my needs were met. She responded to questions quickly and at most any hour. I think I probably fit the profile of a "needy client". Although, Febe never made me feel that way. She was always positive and reassuring. In addition to perfectly representing my interests in the transactions, Febe was also very helpful with my own decision processes. For instance, she was very supportive when I had to walk away from a home that could not pass inspection. She assured me that I would soon find another home that I really loved. Eventually I did. Unfortunately, the purchase was made difficult because the property is badly in need of a new roof. Febe found creative solutions to make sure that the roof problem was addressed in a way that would work for me. She went over and above what one would expect from a real estate agent. I was often surprised at her commitment. There was at least one occasion where I was ready to give up, but she kept working. She eventually found solutions to all the obstacles and closed the deal for me. I very much appreciate everything she has done and will strongly recommend her to anyone buying a house. Thanks. |

We were really disappointed. We loved Redfin's tours and enthusiastically recommended Redfin to all our friends and family until we made an offer. While Febe always returned our calls promptly and worked with us when we didn't have a working fax for the signed docs, she was very abrupt with her answers and we didn't feel like she was working for us. She told us we could negotiate for things at the inspection, but when the time came, she made us feel terrible for asking for things that needed fixing. She might have been overworked with other buyers. In the end we felt she wasn't working for us anymore. We felt she wanted the deal to close as fast as possible for the highest amount without regard to our concerns. |

Simply put, Febe and team were the experts on my transaction so that I didn't have to be. When I was first putting in my offer, the listing price, some of the comps, and the advice I was getting from people were all conflicting. So Febe was willing to sit down with me and talk through all the different permutations and how they would work out in negotiations. She was great about letting me know what to expect, and in the end, she was right about where we would end up. I feel like with Febe I got the best possible offer I could accepted. I mentioned "and team" earlier because once we hit that mutual acceptance, I transitioned to working with Febe's associate agent, Chelsea. I have an amazing amount of respect for the amount of patience she must have. I was trying to close early, but never knew if it was going to be "tomorrow" or "a week from now" because something new kept popping up at the last minute. Every time this happened though, Chelsea would both be on top of it (even on a Sunday evening!), and be willing to spend five minutes listening to me complain about why this couldn't have come up earlier, all while remaining professional and a joy to work with. I passionately dislike Realtors TM, but working with Redfin and Febe was a pleasure, they did the work they needed to and in a timely fashion and for a much more reasonable fee than a traditional agent. The website is the best, the search features far outweigh anythings else out there. |

It doesn't get any better. This is my second real estate transaction through Febe / Redfin. At one point it looked like that the deal was going to fall apart but Febe worked very hard to ensure that the deal was sealed. It is clear that Redfin has the best customer service there is to offer. I cannot imagine going elsewhere for my real estate needs and wish that there were other companies like Redfin for other services. It just might be what we need to jump start the economy. |

Febe did exactly what I needed her to do, which was to extend an offer on a home which we'd already toured on our own. We were partially through the negotation process, and only $10K separated us from the homeowner's counter offer price ($595K vs. $605K). I think it's going to be one of those homes which sits on the market for a year, and will sell below what we currently offered. The fact we didn't close isn't a reflection on Febe, and I would work with her again should we find another home which fits our criteria. I didn't really give her an opportunity to exceed expectations, since we were well along in our negotiations. |

Our main agent Febe was extremely helpful in coordinating our purchase; she had to deal with a condensed schedule, out of town owners, out of town buyers, multiple inspections, etc. and all was done quickly and with great professionalism. Corey also deserves a big 'thank you' from us for handling a lot of the background details. We were very happy with him as was our mortgage lender. |

I loved Redfin and I have already recommended it to several friends. Febe Cude was great, and so was Marne Buchanan. The only problem or frustration I had was something that you might have already fixed. I could not view homes Weds, Thurs or Fri, except in the evening but could go out on Sat, Sun, Mon or Tues. I would see homes on Thurs evening but could not book any other tours on Sat or Sunday because all the agents were already booked. And no one told me ahead of time that I would not be able to book over the weekend. Even then it was a struggle to get someone on Mon or Tues, so I would have to waste 3 or 4 days because I could only book one viewing of 6 houses at a time and not a slate of them in advance for several days in a row.I hope that makes sense. I love this use of technology and having all the information in such a user friendly format. Thanks for all your help and I look forward to making more referrals to you. |

I can't even begin to describe how happy my husband and I are with Redfin! We first decided to sell our house and worked with Loren Ellingson. In this down market, we got an offer on our house within 10 days of putting it on the market! When we started to search for a new home, Loren went above and beyond to help us. Since our dream home was a short-sale, he got special approval for us to work with Redfin on the sale and even contacted the listing agent for us since he had worked with the agent in the past.Once we decided to put in an offer, Febe Cude took over and was spectacular. Febe and Loren were always there to give their sage advice and kept us up-to-date with all the necessary paperwork, etc.Selling our home and buying a new home with Redfin has been such a fabulous experience. I'm sure my friends are going crazy listening to me rave about Redfin constantly! If you are selling or buying a home, I can't recommend Redfin enough.I have a huge issue with "traditional" real estate agents. I've never felt like they had MY interests at heart - just their commission. But with Redfin, I got all the benefits of having an agent (advice, etc.) but really felt like they were working FOR ME, not for the commission.If you are selling and/or buying, you'd be crazy to work with anyone other than Redfin. I wanted to give kudos to the other field agents who helped me during the home buying process. Thanks to Daren Carper (friendly and polite), Brian (very friendly, jovial and polite) and Nelia (lifesaver when I really needed it!).I had a great experience with Redfin. Febe and Melissa were very good to work with.There were only two times that I was frustrated: first with my inspector but that was not the fault of Redfin; second, was waiting until the last minute to have my signing date with title and escrow. My signing meeting was the day before closing. I heard at the last minute when my meeting was. I had to pull strings at work to allow time to leave because I am in a direct service position with lots of appointments with clients so it's harder to leave the office. I would have liked more communication between my transaction coordinator and escrow to try to set a meeting earlier.Otherwise, I had a very good experience with Redfin and will be recommending the company to my friends! |
