Joyti is responsive and efficient, and is available well outside business hours when necessary. She does a good job within the limitations of the Redfin system. A Redfin direct agent is not able to visit properties with the client, and this reduces the value of the agent's advice during negotiations. |

Joyti is very nice and was reliable and easy to get in touch with (much easier than other agents we had worked with in the past!). At times we were worried she was not aggressive enough on our behalf and as first time homebuyers could have used a little more guidance at certain stages. By the time we started working with Joyti we had already been househunting for many months and had already lost one house in escrow (a shortsale) so we I'm sure were not the easiest clients, as we were exhausted from the whole process! We are thankful to be in our house and definitely recognize that Joyti played a role in getting us through escrow. |

She was professional and supportive. We submitted the offer(asking price) but did not win. Joyti was a good guide through the process. The Redfin coorprate experience feels impersonal and may be reducing our competitiveness in the difficult Southern California market. We need strategy advice specific to the changing market.

Overall everything went okay and she tried hard, but there were times I would have preferred more personalized service. This is more a reflection of doing business by "phone" rather than face to face, and I understood that going in. She was mostly diligent, accommodating, and pleasant to work with. |

I would recommend this sevice to a friend if they were financially savy and independent. This service is not for someone who needs a lot of hand holding or can't run simple comp analyses themselves. That being said it was perfect for us! |

I was pretty pleased overall with the transaction. For me, the rebate was the main factor in using Redfin. Another factor was the Redfin website, which was the best I found in terms of search options, information, and fast listing updates. My home search would not have been successful without it. You may want to consider limiting some popular features to Redfin clients only, since it seems that some people use the website to search for homes, but do the transaction with a different brokerage. At first, it was hard establishing any kind of rapport with my Redfin agent, considering that we never met face-to-face and spoke only twice by phone. I was a first-time homebuyer, and there were times when I was unsure what was going on. But I've come to appreciate the service that Redfin provides for do-it-yourself types, and would definitely recommend you to those familiar with the home buying process and willing to do the extra legwork. I would especially like to thank my transaction coordinator, Sara Masey, for her prompt email responses to my questions. |

Two days before closing, we realized that there was only one permanent parking space instead of two as was advertised in the MLS listing, but I was unaware that anything could be done at that point since the contingency period was long over. I wish I were given more guidance and advice on the options that I had after removing the contingencies but before closing. Being a first-time home buyer and also being a complete novice to the real-estate transactions/processes, I was heavily relying upon this advice and the good judgment from my Redfin agents. I was very disappointed on learning after closing that infact, I had the opportunity to renegotiate with the seller even at that point.Other than this, my experience working with Redfin has been a positive one. Everyone on the Redfin team has been very friendly and supportive. I would especially like to thank Todd Lethbridge for being very thorough and detail-oriented, and also in providing me with a wealth of useful information.I also appreciate the two-thirds refund of your commission ... it has been very helpful -- thank you for that!

Really like the improvements to the site. I would love to get an e-mail everyday with new listings that meet my criteria. We've really come to believe that you don't need an agent to buy a house (we still think you need an agent to see your house), and are glad that Redfin exists. I found more reliable information online and through Redfin than I was given by agents who we were interviewing (to potentially work with us on the buying end). We think Joyti Goundar is as competent as any of the agents who we met with. Thanks! |

Our agent did not really seem to have our best interest in mind. In fact seemed like we could have done alot of things better if agent was "working" for us. Only continued on in process for the 2/3 commision, not the service. |

I'm in escrow now with traditional agent who can help me to see the property in timely maner. I didnt had a chance to see property when i was with redfin because agent wasnt there to show me and days after we set up appointment same day someone got the property. This property i m in ecrow i saw it the day which come up on the market and next day i offer , following day i got counter offer back and third day they accept my offer and open escrow. Love how redfin set up but need to be more aggrasive to win. there are many site offering cash back and Redfin has to get stronger to win the race with flying color. |

The biggest issue was seeing homes. Two of the homes I wanted to see were only listed for several days and I could not see the homes, because the agent was already booked. More tours should be available, because I don't see homes because I don't want to use up my allocated visits. Otherwise, the experience was good. |

Perhaps I am being paranoid I am concerned that some of the listing agents seem to be offended when we inform then we are going through redfin and strongly discourage us from using it. This doesn't bother us, and we're not about to take their advice on the matter. However, I am concerned that this will result in prejudice against our offer. I know that this would be unethical and that they are required to present any offers that come in to their client, however that does not mean that they won't be able to influence the client. We will continue to use Redfin until we buy our home, unless something happens which we cannot foresee. This is just something that has crossed my mind as the listing agents become more and more hostile in trying to convince us that we need to have a person doing the search for us and then profitting from it. :)

More frequent updates once an offer has been made on a property. I know it takes longer for acceptance (or rejection) from banks then it did when dealing with a home owner, but I would like to get a status update a little more often as the days and weeks pass.

As a first time buyer the hardest thing to udnerstand is how the process actually works in California, which is much different than other states. It truly is a learn on the fly. Also, the mortgage process sucks and you don't even know what you don't know. Redfin's primary partners should be mortgage companies and a tighter integration between the two business functions would grealy improve the buying experience. I had twice as many conversations with mortgage broker about buying a house and what to do then I did my redfin agent...of course that could be a sympton of the timing of my purchase. |

Our offer was not accepted so it is difficult to truly assess the full range of services, but what we did experience with a Redfin agent was positive. I think a little more guidance on proper contracts and effective negotiations might be helpful.

1) There are certain active listings which are on realtor but not on your wesbite - could not understand the reason.2) The only major dampener in my enthusiasm in recommending Redfin to all my friends in the charge for touring a home. Currently you have only 1 free tour. My suggestion is that if someone , like I did, makes and offer and it does not work then that client should be awarded another free tour. At least by making an offer it is clear the client is serious and committed to buying the property through Redfin and at that point investing a little more in that client will be really beneficial for both sides.

The search feature needs to be updated on a number of criteria than the ones already listed. It is a great site but I would love to search by1) Foreclosures only2) Show listing with price reductions by a certain amount or time periodThose are a couple which came to mind.

1. I felt comfortable using the service because I am not new to homeownership, but first-time buyers might need a little more personalized service. 2. Agents should ALWAYS proofread real estate docs before sending them to their clients, especially where numbers are concerned. There were a couple calulation errors in mine. 3. Add a better space to include "other" or more info about an offer. For example, I prefered a long escrow but would settle for a shorter one if necessary to close the deal, but there's only room for one option with no explanation.

I would recommend your service to anyonw who is interested in savingf money and who is comfortable with the whole electreonic communication concept. Being able to drop off documments might make it easier when you don't have access to printing, faxing, and scanning equipment.

Please support other browses like opera.The map works well and search is quick and efficient.Searching by feature would be great. Maybe include an ability to search based on the property description. ie. find all houses including "moden contemporary" or "craftsmen" or "canyon views". I believe this would be a unique feature for redfin.Service as a whole from the realtor was excellent though at times I felt they could have been a little more pro active, especially when it came to negotiating price and terms |
