klaus had a baby part way through negotiations for my house sale. Granted that kind of thing won't happen too often, and it worked out fine, but it would have been better if there was a smoother hand-off of duties if an agent is sick or absent. |

Klaus and Earnest were great! Klaus did an excellent job of keeping me informed - and I cannot say enough about how great this was. He seemed to anticipate when I might have questions, or think things were taking too long, and he would shoot me an email just to keep me updated. Also, I think your form may need some updating - question 3 starts asking about my Listing Coordinator, but then switches to asking about a transaction coordinator. I don't believe these two people were the same - am I wrong? |

Two things:One, we would like to see Redfin offer more pricing guidance when listing homes.Two, It seems to us that "full-service" agents appear to have an unspoken agreement to discourage clients from purchasing properties listed with Redfin. We cannot prove it but the impression we got from several agents, comments we got from people looking at the house during the many open houses we held, and our own experience (and resulting heavy losses) lead us to believe this to be the case. |

Because the direct agent does not view the home directly, I feel there needs to be someone who can assess the home and find out if there are any problems. Perhaps there should be a mandatory inspection of the house before it is put up for sale? Our particular sale was hindered by the siding --something I feel a basic inspector would have seen and recommended us to fix. This way any deal-stoppers can be managed before any offers are placed.I did not like Klaus being in classes most of the time when we were dealing with the first cancelled offer. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the first offer couple not wanting to negotiate further, but for a first time seller, it made me uneasy knowing my agent was not available immediately to speak with. However, I am very happy with Klaus' judgement on the final offer and his strategy on the counteroffer. This worked out very well in the end.Our final bid's status was very iffy. We received a call (not from Klaus, but from the weekend agent) on a bid coming in on Saturday afternoon, and was told something would come through in an hour, but nothing did, and we got no word of why until we called several times to find out. The website has a section for "offers", but that also never worked. The final escrow process also seemed very jumbled, and we had to follow up a few times with everyone to find out what was going on. We were told that we would be contacted by escrow later in the day, and had no word, and the like. I assume this is because we had to use the buyer's escrow, who had their own problems, but thought I would mention it. Overall, I'm happy with how things worked out with Redfin, and I will very likely use them again if their services come to NC, so please take these as constructive critisism. |

Thought the service was great. I would have given a higher recommondation rating if it weren't the fact that the house didn't sell. While not attributable to Red Fin, the fact that it didn't sell deceased my overall selling experience. We plan to try again in May.
