Loren was great to work with. He was timely on response and the only thing I believe that was lacking was a bit of negotiating tactics with the sellers. Other than that the transaction was smooth...

I found him helpful and quick with responses. I would say that for more advanced buyers he would be a really good relator. For me as a new buyer, I require a little more help with choosing places to view, deciding on, and making the correct offer for me.

Very professional, Loren is always available for questions and gets answers back to us quickly. We used his services to sell our house and the transaction went very smoothly. We felt he was willing to do whatever was needed to get the house sold. We had potential buyers at one point that didn't have an agent and didn't want representation. Loren walked us through the paperwork we needed to get done with the buyers even though Redfin wouldn't get a cut of the commission. We ultimately sold the house to a different couple but I was impressed with how flexible both Loren and Redfin were. We are working with Loren to purchase a new house and again were impressed with how quickly Loren put an offer together with us on a house. We are still looking but feel confident we will find what we are looking for with Loren as our agent.

After we we unable to use another Redfin Agent for an offer, Loren stepped in at the last minute and performed competently. He was friendly, informative and always very responsive to phone calls and emails. If I had any criticism it is that he did not appear to be a particularly forceful negotiator and I wonder whether I could have negotiated a slightly better deal on my own. This is a minor criticism, as negotiating style is often a matter of preference and Seller's Agent was very good.

I have sold some properties by owner. It was great to get into the MLS, but still have some hands on with the showing activity and marketing or our property. That is the part I hate to give up when listing with a traditional realtor. Price matters in this market, and you need to be realistic. Once we got our price down to what the market demanded, we had several offers on our condo. We were able to chose who we felt was most qualified for a loan, and with the help of our Redfin agent, come to agreement on a fair price and close in a timely manner. I got what I hoped for, in a tough market for sellers.

We were very pleased with Redfin's level of service and competency. I would gladly use Redfin again (we're actually using you right now to make an offer on a new home). I would also gladly recommend you to anyone, with the potential exceptions of inexperienced first-time buyers or highly indecisive people.

I think all in all, Redfin is a good fit for me. There are times I wish I could be a further step removed from having to deal directly with showing the home and that Redfin would just take the wheel. I would definitely like to see more evidence that Redfin is outdoing what other agents can do to market my property and get it in front of the right eyes, agents and buyers alike. Still, the flat fee policy is a powerful motivator and balancer to my thinking. I truly appreciate Loren and Earnest's even keeled, low pressure attitude, and I always felt that they were adequately responsive. Other agencies give off the appearance of being hot tub salesmen with too much hairspray and fake smiles, panic-driven and plastering their for-sale signs with gimmicks that only serve to undignify the house and seller. I like that Redfin is much more calm and noble, and they stayed out of my hair for the most part but were always there when I needed them.What I don't like: Sweet Diggs just causes people to get stressed out and buy into all kinds of contradictory myths and legends and superstitions, and probably just adds to your agent's stress from having to answer all the blither-blather going back and forth. I thing Diggs is nothing more than a frenzy of noise. I want ethical, professional, advice, from one person, and I want that person to filter out the noise and separate fact from fiction.The best thing Redfin can do for me in the future, and I will continue to work with Redfin, is to dial down the volume of the marketplace noise by using straightforward and calm consul, and above all, continue to convince me that you are on my side and in favor of my interests.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like clarifications on the feedback or more details.1. It was really important to my wife and I to meet the agent who'd be representing us in-person before actually getting our property on the market. My wife contacted Redfin by phone and spoke to one or two people, neither of whom seemed very eager to help set up an in-person appointment. We were told this "didn't typically happen", and "we should just submit our listing data via the online wizard". Sure, I understand the business model and if you have clients that aren't serious sucking up time of your listing agents, it's not good ROI. But we were very serious, and felt like we were getting brushed off a bit. After some moderate perserverance we were given Loren's name and pinged him directly to set up some time. Once we actually made it into the office, he was FANTASTIC - volunteered to meet us early @ 8am before the office opened, patiently answered all of our questions, did the legwork to prepare a CMA and walk us through it, etc etc. He really sold us on the competenece of the team and allayed any remaining fears that we had. My feedback here is to be a little more receptive to clients who need hands-on attention up front...find a simple way to evaluate how serious they are, and for those that pass the min bar, welcome them with open arms. Set expectations about future work style/in-person meetings, but don't make the initial response "sorry, we don't meet people in-person".2. Loren was superlative in every facet of his work. He helped us decide what the right time to list was, without making us feel pressured to move forward asap. Iin a slowing market, with inventory levels and competitors greatly affecting your ability to sell quickly for a fair price, this is obviously key. Once we were listed, he bent over backwards to keep us informed, follow up with agents who had previewed the house, answer any questions we had, and walk us through the offers that we received. He stayed up late at night, and was regularly available on weekends to guide us through the process. He was detail oriented and never let anything fall through the cracks, or miss a deadline. Combining extensive knowledge of the selling process with a fantastic commitment to customer service and an amazing ability to follow through on the details guarantees that we'll recommend Loren to all of our friends and co-workers.
