Marshall is awesome! I'm a first time buyer who had no experience whatsoever with the home buying process. He's extremely responsive and knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy. I'm really glad Marshall was my real estate agent and that I used Redfin.

Good, Marshall was helpful. Wish the Redfin model allowed for at least one face-to-face meeting with the lead agent, but still happy with the process.

Given my own knowledge of the Arlington real estate market the Redfin listing model was a great fit for me. Marshall did a great job of managing the process both while the house was on the market and during closing. In particular, he was diligent in following up on sales leads, requesting feedback from showings, and communicating with me clearly and in a timely manner. Working with Marshall was a positive and pleasant experience even when dealing with difficult counterparties.

Mr. Park was always available even in wee hours; worked tirelessly for smooth transaction. My wife and I appreciated his professionalism, and strong work ethics.

Marshall was fantastic, and I would enthusiastically recommend him and Redfin to any of my friends or family. It's amazing how on top of things Marshall is considering the number of deals he does in a year. I really felt like we had better service than any of the full price agents I have used in the past. Marshall was always quick to respond to all of my voicemails and e-mails. When we did get offers, he was always quick to provide insight on the offer, and advice. He really helped get all the paperwork done quickly to get us to a ratified contract. With Marshall's wealth of experience he was always able to provide excellent advice. He also listened well, and responded to our own concerns and issues. On another note, the rest of the Redfin team was great. The photographer was fantastic, the rep that helped get our listing up, and the rep that met us at closing were also excellent. Great job to Marshall and Redfin, this was a fantastic way to sell our condo!!!

Wow. The entire experience with Marshall was amazing. While we dealt with some difficult sellers, Marshall was able to guide us through the process, negotiate a fair price for the house, and ensure that issues were resolved in a timely manner. I have recommended Redfin and Marshall to three of my friends because of my positive experiences. Marshall was continually available to answer questions or address concerns. Further, Marshall and the field agents guided us through various properties with great ease. While my parents might find conducting most interactions by email and phone disconcerting, I found it to be more professional, more efficient, and more effective than to be tied "traditional" agent. For the normal buyer, Redfin is the way to go.

He was always on the ball. The process could not have been smoother.

In brief, Marshall is simply GREAT! As first time homebuyers, we constantly had questions on pretty much everything. Marshall is knowledgeable, attentive and patient. As busy as he may be, we always was able to make contact with him. We had some major issues with our loan company during the last two weeks of the process. Marshall stood by us and we would not be able to close on time if it was not because of Marshall's diligent work. In general, we never had any problem with field agents from Redfin. They are all very friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Among all the parties involved in the process, Marshall and Redfin is the one that we knew we can trust 100%, which made our life much less stressful during this otherwise intense experience.

Marshall Park was a delight to work with. He was professional, friendly and very well informed. We had a somewhat tricky home purchase (it was considered a resale, but really was a new construction)and Marshall went above and beyond in answering all our questions and confirming with others in his office that the sale was going through without any hitches. Marshall has exceptional energy at all times. He is extremely proactive throughout the entire process. I feel that he provided invaluable information while trying not to influence my decisions. Marshall was great! Our transaction was complicated since it was a relocation and involved multiple agents other than Redfin. Marshall guided us through the transaction efficiently and was constantly in contact with us during the whole process.

Marshall was on the job 24 hours a day 7 days a week. He always responded to our phone calls and email right away. He gave us good advice and we end up with a great house.

In my opinion, redfin is for those people who want to find the house themselves without relying too much on an agent, but want someone else to do all the paperwork. In this case, the agent needs to be reliable, responsive and accurate. Marshall is very responsive. He picked up his phone 80-90% of the time and if not, he would return my call within 1 hour. I valued the response time very much. Marshall is reliable and accurate: once I submited the offer, Marshall took the driver's seat. I asked many questions about the agreements (even though I knew what a specific clause was saying, I decided to double check) and Marshall was patient in responding too all questions. All documents were in order and we practically never had to correct any spellings or details. Everything was done via email and the quality of scanning was good. So, Marshall had good tech equipment to support him. Marshall is reliable: when I asked questions about the property, he would follow through with the listing agent to get answers. Maybe in one case I had to send a reminder, but he is very good with finishing the tasks. Last but not least, Marshall is enthusiastic when he picks up the phone and has a upbeat voice. Not once I felt that he rushed the conversation. He basically projects the feeling that you are his only customer at this point of time. So given my work experience with Marshall, in the scope of Redfin's work, he deserves the best feedback. So, overall, I would deal with Redfin and Marshall again. No regrets, only smiles and plans how to spend the rebate check! :)

Outstanding from start to finish. Marshall prepared the paperwork for our offers on very short notice (a few hours) and enabled us to submit our offer for the house that we purchased just in time. He was knowledgeable and earned our trust throughout the process. All the other paperwork that we needed to prepare prior to settlement went smoothly as well. We will recommend Redfin (and Marshall) enthusiastically to our friends that are considering home purchases. We wish Redfin and its employees continued success and we hope that its business model will benefit its other customers as much as it has helped us.

Marshall was very accessible and helpful in negotiating with potential buyers. We were comfortable pricing our condo and staging it on our own, and even holding an open house. I can't say enough how pleased I was with Marshall and the entire Redfin process. When I initially decided to use Redfin I was a little concerned that I would "get what I paid for" since it is a lot cheaper than a traditional agent. However this was not the case at all. Everyone at Redfin was tremendously professional, knowledgeable, and very well organized. The site is fantastic, and there are plenty of automated reminders to make sure you don't miss any critical deadlines. Once we got into the actual negotiation for the house, Marshall really shined and demonstrated top-flight deal-making acumen. It turned out to be a very long and tedious negotiation with a difficult seller, but Marshall stuck with it and drove a really good bargain for me, obtaining several major concessions from the seller. I was so impressed with how well he understood the nuances of bringing the seller down to our number... I doubt that many other real-estate agents could have done this well for me. I was very, very happy with the way it turned out. I realize now that one of the major benefits of having Marshall on my side was his experience. He has so many deals going on at once I think it gives him real perspective, which shows through when he negotiates. I doubt there are many other agents out there with this many deals going at once, and with such perspective on the market in this area. Needless to say I can't recommend Redfin and Marshall strongly enough. Next time I buy a home I know who I'll be using.

Marshall was very responsive and helpful. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help close on a particularly difficult house. I would use him again if I were buying a "normal" house, but I don't think his knowledge is specialized enough to deal with foreclosures and fixer-uppers, which is the type I just bought. I would recommend to anyone looking for a foreclosure or fixer-upper to use someone specialized in this area, as the extra knowledge gained in this will probably make up for the redfin rebate. Otherwise, Redfin is definitely the way to go.

After working with another "traditional" realtor, getting nowhere and wondering why it seemed we were doing all the work ourselves, my wife and I thought we'd give Redfin a shot. The idea of someone who was barely doing anything for us making thousands of dollars from OUR work bothered us, and the Redfin model seemed like a good compromise. We had two main concerns though: 1)we worried a Redfin lead agent would be super-busy with other clients and have little time to devote to us; and 2) we worried that when it came time to negotiate with the seller, a Redfin agent wouldn't be as involved or as "aggressive" as a traditional one. However from Day 1 working with Marshall, we realized we needn't have worried at all. Marshall was always available when we needed him, either by phone or by email. He was personable, friendly and we didn't feel pressured by him during any part of the transaction. One of his best attributes is that he is very straight-forward about everything -- he took the time to explain things we didn't understand and made sure we were comfortable with the situations we put ourselves in. At no point did we feel we were losing control of the process, which often happens to first time home buyers. From making the initial offer, to negotiating with a difficult and erratic seller's agent, to the home inspection and finally closing, Marshall was always there to remind us what needed to be done and to handle the various personalities with a smile. He maintained his sense of humor at all times, which helped tremendously. And when our closing was delayed due to a technical problem with our lender, Marshall was understanding and did his best to make sure all parties remained calm and finished the transaction. We really can't think of a single negative when it comes to our experience with Redfin or with Marshall. As I said, we had some reservations going into it, but it worked out well beyond our expectations. Marshall was an effective representative during negotiations, was consistently available and responsive, understood my questions, had the answers, and paid attention to the details. Not only did I feel that I was working with a true professional, but he also did a great job of maintaining the illusion that I was his only client.

I would recommend it heartily to every single person I know, but I guess there is a limited geographical scope at the moment, which makes it hard to spread the word outside of the area.

Marshall did a fantastic job -- I closed while in the hospital and with messed up financing. As a result, Marshall ended up working with my dad, who has about 30 years experience doing mortgages. My dad was very impressed with Marshall's professionalism. Thanks again for making this happen!!

It took a little bit getting used to some of the quirks that differ from a traditional agent, but the outcome was great!

Marshall Park was an outstanding realtor. By far the best we have dealt with in our adult lives. Very professional and communicative, Marshall kept us informed of all the new information as he received it, as well as the next steps to take in terms of getting to closing with minimal trouble. Marshall seemed genuinely interested in helping us find a home, rather than trying to get us to go outside of our budget or push us into something we weren't that interested in, as has been our past experience with realtors. We love the Redfin business model, where potential buyers are more self-reliant and have easy access to listings and general information about the property. It was fantastic to not worry about being hounded by real estate agents while browsing listings. Once we decided on some properties to view, Marshall was extremely helpful without being overbearing.The refund of the realtor commission really helped us strengthen our offer, and was a great way to attract us as clients in the first place. We would have used Redfin even with the reduced 50% commission refund, though we were lucky enough to receive a 66% refund.All told, we had a great experience with Redfin and have recommended the website to all of our friends. Marshall Park was an amazing asset during our buying process and even after. I can't say enough nice things about him and his professionalism.

I worked with two other realtors before using Redfin, and I was not happy by the pressure they put on me to buy a home. I never felt pressured to buy anything with Marshall, and his level of service and awareness was much higher than the two other traditional agents I worked with. It was a pleasure working with him, and I felt completely comfortable having him represent me in negotiations.

This was my 15th real estate transaction and I am so happy we went with Redfin. We moved to the DC area four months ago and we were already using the Redfin website before that to explore the area. Since we were new to the market, we decided to use a "full service" real estate agent. She was friendly and did a great job escorting us around, but it became clear very quickly that she wasn't going to help us find a house or help with pricing, which is was our number one reason to use a full service real estate agent. She would always send us listings from her lame website and I would always send the houses we were interested in with a Redfin url (since it is the best way to view houses).When we found houses we liked, her response was typically the same and that was to offer close to, if not at asking price. In this housing market we couldn't understand why and always felt pressure to offer more than we wanted. Bottom line is that she wanted to close a deal and only had her best interest in mind. When we confronted her about this, she decided to terminate our relationship.Knowing that we should have started with Redfin at this point, we had the opportunity to give it a try. At first, it was a bit hard to get used to the fact that we couldn't call a Realtor and go to a showing when we wanted, but we had already been using open houses heavily and quickly got in the groove. I'm 100% sure we not only got a fantastic rebate by using Redfin, but that we also got a better price with Marshall on our side. Just the fact that he didn't pressure us to give in on our desires, helped us negotiate better. Again, I can't sing enough Redfin praise. I hope you shake up the Real Estate industry - it is simply a better way to buy a house.

This was a very positive experience and I particularly enjoyed doing my own searching of homes through the listings online using all the great search features, virtual tours, etc.I should also give credit to CNN's money.cnn.com site from the beginning where I learned about Redfin.
