Miawand Bayan is a trustworthy and experienced agent. Our experience with him was a wonderful journey and we will recommand him to all our friends.

Our previous experience with other realtors demonstrated to us 1) the dubious nature of the term "full service," and 2) how much sense the Redfin model makes. We were merely hoping to get an experienced agent who would represent us well at the bargaining table, and who really knows the market. Miawand provided all that -- plus he's a consummate professional and an absolute pleasure to work with! We had complete confidence in his capabilities, his ethics, and the knowledge that our best interests were always his top priority. Selling a house in this market is a challenge, to say the least. Finding a realtor who's worth his fee is often just as challenging. Miawand's obvious expertise and generous personal attention to our transaction was worth every penny. By far, this was the best real estate experience we've had.

Miawand did an outstanding job throughout my entire purchase transaction. He is highly competent, professional, and great to work with. He answered all my questions with detail and accuracy. He promptly followed up on all items that needed follow up and gave extremely valuable advise which demonstrated his high level of skill and expertise. In short, I always knew that my transaction was in safe hands. I just could not be happier with the service that I received from Miawand. It is a service that not only met my expectations but actually exceeded them.

Miawand was very professional, communicated timely via phone and email, and he and his team did and an outstanding job throughout the whole process (offer, contingency, closing, etc.). If you are ok with doing a transaction like this over the phone and email, nothing beats Redfin. Not all of my refund could be applied during closing, but I got a check from them just a couple of days later.

We just bought a home using Redfin. Our initial hesitation of selecting a non traditional agent was completely blown away with the professional and timely service provided by Miawand and his team. And the generous refund went a long way in covering most of the closing costs. Redfin did an outstanding job of helping us through the entire buying process. Starting from the bidding, to the contingency period and into closing, Miawand and his assistant Regina were always available and provided great service. Miawand suggested an excellent loan agent (Annie Podesto from Bank of America who gave me a no-nonsense-one-phone-call unbeatable rate). He also recommended property inspectors etc. Overall I would highly recommend you choose Redfin if you are ok with the following - 1. Comfortable communicating over phone and email - not in person. I have still to meet Miawand in person. 2. You are not looking for someone to hold your hand through the home buying process. What I mean by the second point is that Redfin does not coax or lead you into buying anything, you have to find the property on your own (using Redfin's tools) and you have to decide if you want to bid on it. Redfin will provide you all the data available and suggest a good bidding amount but they will not mentor you in buying it. We actually preferred it that way since we like to make our own decisions so it worked perfectly for me. In the end I would say that in spite of being first time home buyers we found Redfin to be an excellent service and would highly recommend it.

What a great experience with Redfin. After not so good experience with an agent, we thought of trying Redfin , primarily because of great cash back. First we thought that since they offer great bucks, even if their service is ok, we are fine. Then we took a small tour with redfin field agent(getting a slot was bit tough, they have long waiting), such a great experience. Field agent was so courteous and they never rush you. Once we wanted to offer, we talked to Miawand. As real estate agent he is so cool, patient, understanding and only talks to the point. Miawand suggested us the price to offer and also explained how comps are in that area, which my earlier agent never used to do. Even Miawand helped us to negotiate the offer and finally our offer got accepted. After that Regina helped us to do all papers work and she always replied our email (even just 'got your mail'). I wish Miawand and his team Great success in his job.

Miawand was always very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. He listened to everything we had to say and shared his opinion when appropriate and/or when asked. He was well-informed as to the market in general and the specifics in regard to other offers on the properties on which bid. In the end, he was able to negotiate a deal that was much better than we had expected.

Miawand gave us good advice on the offer value (without pressuring us either way) and had a sound understanding of the real-estate market in our target areas. We went through two offers with him and were successful with our second offer. During this offer process, Miawand recognized the value of a prompt communication. He was instrumental in us getting a sizable credit from the sellers. We're very happy with the house we bought and with our experience with Miawand.

Miawand did a great job explaining the process of home buying and helping us complete our first home purchase. We've been recommending Redfin to all our friends.

We were very happy with our experience with Miawand and Redfin as a whole. It was a very easy and non-intrusive process to set up viewings of homes, and when we did see homes, we did not feel any pressure to like the home or build momentum towards making a bid. Once we were ready to make a bid, we felt that Miawand's advice was incredibly valuable and objective, as we did not feel pressured to make an aggressive bid, while at the same time he gave us a realistic picture of what level bid would garner interest from the seller. He encouraged us to negotiate at a level we felt comfortable with. We were very concerned about having an advocate in this process and someone that was not simply looking out for their own interest or commission, and we could not have asked for a better or more trustworthy advocate than Miawand. For anyone who is weary of the typical agent motivated by commission, we would recommend Miawand enthusiastically and without reservation!

The entire Redfin experience was great, and Miawand's professionalism and expertise contributed to that. When we first began the looking for a home, he set up a call and explained the entire home buying process. He also asked us questions to get an idea of what we were looking for, and explained his role. After we found our new home and began the closing process, he was easily accessible via email or phone, and would respond promptly with questions that I had. He maintained contact with our loan officer and the builder of our home. He clearly had our best intentions in mind, and never rushed us into making a decision or pushed us into buying/signing anything. Overall, I would definitely recommend Miawand (and Redfin) to other potential homebuyers, and, in the way way future when we sell our home, we will hopefully be able to use Miawand/Redfin as our selling agent.

My wife and I just closed on our first house, and we were fortunate enough to have worked with Miawand on the purchase. Miawand was very professional and went above and beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to meet our needs.

He quickly returned all calls, and was instrumental in completing the purchase with an anxiuos seller. He was much easier to get ahold of than a traditional agent. Miawand is an extremely experienced, polite and patient professional. We had a terribly difficult REO transaction because of the bank. A first-time home buyer like us could not do better than have Miawand guide them. In working previously with "full-service" Realtors, Miawand was superior to every one of them. This may sound like an advertisement, but it's not: Redfin has a strong advantage over full-service Realtors in the negotiation phase of the offer/transaction, once the property has been found. We found this because of Miawand's vast experience and the Redfin business model professionally decouples their Agents from the transaction. We cannot recommend Miawand and Redfin highly enough!

When I first started w/ Miawand, and lost out on a deal, I wasn't sure about using Redfin or Miawand again. But I decided to give both a second chance and he helped me negotiate a good price for our house. I was happy with the final price and also happy when he helped us lower the purchase price after inspections came in. I think he got way too busy once we were in the closing pipeline. It's not to say that he didn't make sure I knew I can ask him any questions. It's just that he was a little hard to reach sometimes. I used Charmaine for a few days when he was gone and I think Charmaine was really good about getting back to you, even just responding with a "I got your email". Since Redfin tries to do everything a lot electronically, I think having the appearance of being REALLY reachable is a must. Another thing is that the agents are really stretched thin (East Bay). I learned after the first deal that I had to earn my rebate by doing my homework and having a good idea of the market. The agents can't specialize in specific neighborhoods and the more you know about yours and pricing in your neighborhood, the better.

Miawand's knowledge and persistence in this tough real estate market was an invaluable asset for us. With him being experienced with foreclosed homes, we were able to quickly secure our home at an exceptional price. Using all the tools on his belt, he was able to deliver for us whenever we needed it. Miawand was awesome to work with and I do not hesitate to recommend his services to my friends.

Miawand was very informative and prompt all throughout our home search/purchase process. We really like the customer-focus of Redfin's service. The website and the Realtor motivated by customer satisfaction surveys really made a difference in making buying a home much easier to trust than the traditional model.

We did not like the walk through arrangements made by Redfin. We were not made aware of how the appliances work, where are the controls were situated. We were just told to walk and make sure nothing has changed since our last visit.

Miawand was very quick in responding to my questions and requests. He would even respond to a question asked at 11pm. As long as these questions and requests are done by email. He is not as accessible by phone. It worked out at first because the papers were not needed very urgently. However, at almost the end of the buying process, when time was of the essence because I wanted to close the transaction as early as possible, I got frustrated. I am not online all the time and he only communicates by emails! Even if I needed to overnight a document that day, he emails me at 1pm (I am mostly asleep during the day because I work at night) and never calls me. It was just a gut feeling that made me get up at 3pm and check my email that I got his message and got to overnight the document at the last minute (fed-ex was about to close!). Despite all my requests to give me a call for anything urgent, he never called me.

My husband and I would like to thank the great performance from the Redfin agent, Miawand Bayan. He did an excellent job on helping us going through on the whole buying process. He is very accessible and patient. Buying a house is a stressful thing. Miawand calming personality and the depth of knowledge on the market helped a lot to reduce our stress. He answered all of our questions and responded to our concerns very fast. He offered his expert opinions but also respect our decisions. I would strongly recommend him as a buyer agent to my friends.

This was a very difficult sale and Miawand was a wonderful steady guide for the process. Besides his expertise in getting things pushed through with the bank, his limitless patience with us and our questions was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, anytime we needed help from someone other than Miawand things were more difficult. The tour and closing agents were typically slow to respond and took some prodding to get what we needed.

I think it's probably good to use Redfin when the market is not so hot, but when places are selling really quickly, it's hard to find new places and schedule tours quickly enough to get an offer in before the place goes off the market. We saw one house we liked and would have made an offer on, but then it was gone the next morning after our tour!

I'm very satisfied with the work my Redfin agent, Miawand, and his assistants have done for me. They made the entire process smooth and easy for me. Not being very pushy, but responsive and attentive enough to make buying and closing a hassle-free experience.

I've been so impressed with the service, I've already started to referrals to my friends and family.
