The Boat House in the guard gated community of Southridge. Commissioned by race car driver James Jeffords and designed by architect Michael P. Johnson in 1989, this architectural marvel is symbolically named "The Boat House" both for its shape and the way it creates the illusion that you are emerging from the hillside on a voyage across the valley floor far below. From the infinity pool deck and inside the home, with its soaring 24 foot ceilings and high glass walls, the house appears to project into the view. A large mezzanine-style master suite with fireplace shares the spectacular open view with a separate private deck looking out toward the mountains. Each guest room offers seclusion and privacy with its own bath. Sliding screens allow the kitchen to be closed off for formal events.
