Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon just unloaded some real estate marital baggage.
The soon-to-be-divorced couple sold their 13,000-square-foot home for $9 million, a discount from last year’s list price of $12.995 million. But the splitting duo must have made some money on the deal. According to property records, they scooped up the home in 2009 for $6.975 million.
While the new owners got the home for nearly $4 million less than the original asking price, this Los Angeles estate is anything but discounted. The home has a giant gym, Moroccan-style tea room, putting green, movie theater and a basketball court. The property also has beautiful views of the Canyon Reservoir and downtown Los Angeles area, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the backyard pool.
The new owners didn’t just get a fabulous new crib, they got a pedigree palace! Aside from Carey and Cannon, the house was also owned by Farrah Fawcett from 1976 until 1999.
We are sure the 44-year-old diva will have no problem plunking down somewhere else just as luxurious as her previous residence, as predicted in our post on 7 Celebrities Most Likely to Buy a Home in 2015. The pop star is originally from Long Island, but we have a feeling she will find a new place to call home on the Golden Coast.
