Redfin arrives in the Triad

People in Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point can now work with a local Redfin agent to buy and sell homes! They can also use Redfin’s online and mobile tools to search for every home for sale in the greater Triad region.

Redfin agents spend all of their time helping people buy and sell homes and no time looking for new business, because most of Redfin’s customers discover the company through its website. As a result of this increased efficiency, Redfin can pass along savings to its clients.

For buyers, Redfin refunds part of the buyer’s agent commission. For example, a homebuyer working with a Redfin agent to purchase a $300,000 home in the Triad receives a refund of over $1,300 at closing.

For sellers, Redfin charges sellers a 1.5 percent listing fee instead of the typical 3 percent, while providing a beginning-to-end home-selling service, from pricing and staging advice and professional photography through to the negotiation and closing processes. Someone selling a $300,000 home with the help of a Redfin agent would save up to $4,500. To date, Redfin has saved its buying and selling customers more than $200 million in real estate fees.

Just like all other Redfin agents, our real estate agents in the Triad earn salaries and receive health care and other benefits. Redfin agents’ bonus pay is based on customer satisfaction, not commission. We ask every customer to rate and review their agent’s service. Every review–the good, the bad and the ugly–is published on Redfin.com.

Redfin first arrived in North Carolina in 2013, when Redfin market manager Julie McGee Sharpe led a team of local agents in Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham in expanding the reach of Redfin’s innovative service throughout those parts of the state. Julie and her team are excited to extend Redfin’s reach in the Tar Heel State.

“Since launching Redfin in Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham more than two years ago, we’ve learned that North Carolinians love our website, technology and working with our real estate agents,” said Julie. “We’re excited to join the tech and real estate communities in the Triad. I think people there will embrace our one-of-a-kind approach to real estate.”

Tracy EdwardsHelping people buy and sell homes in Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point is Redfin agent Tracy Edwards, who will also help grow the brokerage locally. She comes to Redfin from Coldwell Banker’s local office.

Julie and Tracy are already touring homes with buyers and guiding them through the offer, negotiation and closing processes and helping people sell their homes. If you’re thinking about buying or selling, feel free to connect with our local team, instantly book a home tour or start a conversation about your home’s value.

Redfin.com and the Redfin mobile apps also offer several ways to find out about homes for sale and the local market, even if you’re just dipping your toe in the water, including:
