The University of Washington and the University of Oregon are 288 miles away from each other, but their rivalry is fierce. The Huskies and the Ducks have a long history of duking it out each year in a variety of sports and competitions. But, the University of Oregon takes the cake in one major area–housing.

The average listing price in the University District is $575,000,which makes it quite a bit pricer than Eugene. With Seattle being one of the hottest housing markets in the country, the competition is fierce. Here’s what Huskies will find on the market near campus.

Winner: In terms of price, inventory, size and location UO takes the win! Though the Seattle housing market is hot, we found far more options for investment properties in Eugene within a close proximity to University of Oregon. In this case it’s better to be a Duck than a Husky!
