With the 58th Grammy Awards just around the corner, we decided to take a look at the homes of some of the 2016 nominees, to see where these artists spend their time when they aren’t in the recording studio. Which home strikes a high note with you?

1. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has had a pretty good year, all thanks to “1989”. The 26-year-old star is up for a few nominations, including Album of the Year (“1989”) and Song of the Year (“Blank Space”), but she should also be nominated for craziest real estate transaction of the year; last September the singer splashed out $25 million IN CASH for the famed Goldwyn estate in Beverly Hills.

The pedigree property was commissioned by film producer Samuel Goldwyn Sr. in 1934, and was passed down to his son Samuel Goldwyn Jr. years later. Goldwyn Sr. was known for hosting Hollywood-esque parties at the estate, attracting the likes of celebrities such as Charlie Chaplin and Katharine Hepburn.

2. John Legend

John Legend is up for Best Rap Collaboration for his work with rapper Common on “Glory”. While Grammy nominations are exciting, we can imagine that Legend might be even more excited about expecting his first child with supermodel wife Chrissy Teigen. The two rang in the New Year with a little one on the way and the purchase of this stunning Beverly Hills home. The couple bought the fabulous five-bedroom, eight-bath home for $14 million.

3. Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre has had quite the busy year. The Record producer is nominated for Best Rap Album for “Compton”, which was inspired by the film “Straight Outta Compton”, which the artist helped produce. Back in 2014, the rap mogul scooped up a Hollywood Hills mansion for a whopping $40 million from famed couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. But, when you’re worth $700 million that kind of price tag seems like NBD, right? The home is insane, with every custom finish you can imagine, including a koi pond, library, seven fireplaces and a pool made of hand poured glass tile… because WHY NOT?

4. Kanye West

Kanye West has a total of 21 Grammy awards to date, so it’s no surprise that the rapper is on the 2016 Grammy nominee list. His song “All Day” is up for an award in the Best Rap Song category. The Grammy-decorated artist lives in a baller vineyard estate with his infamous wife Kim Kardashian. They purchased itback in 2014 for $20 million. The sprawling Hidden Hills estate sits on more than three acres of land, located just five minutes from Kris Jenner’s home in Calabasas.

5. Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar is leading the nominee pack this year with 11 nominations, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year AND Best Rap Album. He’s also leading the category for more humble abode. So, what kind of home does the 27 year old own, you ask? A 3,529 square-foot, four-bedroom home in Eastvale, Calif., a neighborhood about an hour outside of L.A. The hip hop artist purchased the property back in 2013 for $523,500, which strikes a humble tune in comparison to some of the home prices paid by his fellow Grammy nominees.
