It looks like Jonathan Rhys Meyers is having a difficult time selling his Los Angeles home. The Irish actor just re-listed the contemporary crib for $1.549 million. It has been on and off the market since he first listed it last year for $1.6 million.
The modern abode sits on a 10,827-square-footlot and was built in 1961. The midcentury home comes with an impressive list of amenities including a pool, wine storage, stone countertops and custom cabinetry. The home also comes with a theater, which the 38-year-old actor might have used to screen any one of the movies he has starred in, like “Match Point” or “Mission Impossible III.”
The heartthrob’s listing has an open floor plan, hardwood floors and enormous windows, which allow for plenty of that California sunshine to light up the home. The actor certainly has a minimalist style; the home décor is made up of neutral tones and simple furniture, keeping in line with the simple, chic modern style reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s.
Meyers purchased the home for $1.595 million back in 2007, the same year he won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Drama for his starring role in the “The Tudors.” The actor also just landed a lead role in the film “Shambhala,” a survivalist drama set in the Himalayas that is scheduled for shooting this fall.
