At Redfin, we always put the customer first. As part of our commitment to our clients, our Customer Service Team is available to answer questions on the phone and via email seven days a week. We get a lot of questions, and wanted to share the most common ones with you, along with our answers. If you have a question, you can call us between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST at 877-973-3346, or email us anytime at email@example.com.
1. My home is sold; how do I get the photos off of Redfin?
Redfin pulls all of our data directly from the multiple listing service, or MLS. In most cases these feeds are updated every 15 to 30 minutes, so homes appear as soon as they are listed by an agent. The reason your photos are still showing on Redfin, and on other MLS-powered websites, is that this information is still available to the public on the MLS, despite the sold status of your home. If you would like the interior photos of your home off of Redfin, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to help. To fully remove your photos, contact the agent who listed your home and who can update the listing on the MLS. Redfin and other MLS powered websites will update automatically. To learn more about where we get our data, check out the Data Quality on Redfin page.
2. Is the home I found on Redfin for rent or for sale?
Redfin is a real estate brokerage, with agents who help people buy and sell property. As such, Redfin only shows homes for sale and off-market or sold properties. We do not display rentals. If you think that a home is for rent, please try reviewing the original rental advertisement for leasing and contact information.
3. Are you hiring?
Yes, Redfin is hiring! Please visit our jobs site at https://www.redfin.com/about/jobs to view all open positions. If you see one that interests you, please apply through the website. One of our recruiters will be in touch with you after your application has been submitted.
We’re hiring for a variety of positions at our headquarters and around the country, and are always on the lookout for great real estate agents! We pay our agents a salary and benefits, and clients come from our website, so our agents can focus on providing impeccable service, not selling their services!
Please check out the link and apply today!
4. Can I receive leads from Redfin as a partner agent?
In the major metropolitan areas that we serve, Redfin employs its own agents to help people buy or sell a home. However, we also work with partner agents from time to time. Partner agents are employed by other brokerages and have teamed up with us to provide Redfin-quality service to a wider range of customers.
To ensure great service, we carefully interview each partner agent candidate, check at least three customer references and ensure that each agent has completed at least 15 local transactions. And every partner agent must adhere to the same principles that guide our Redfin agents.
The Partner Program is a great way to remain with your current brokerage while spreading the news about a new way to provide real estate services. For information on the Partner Program, please visit: https://www.redfin.com/about/redfin-partner-agents-application. Here you will find webinar schedules and application instructions. You can also contact our Customer Service Team at 877-973-3346 and we would be happy to put you in touch with a Partner Recruiter.
5. How can I tell if a home I saw on Redfin is still for sale?
Redfin pulls information on homes for sale directly from the MLS. Our system refreshes from the MLS about every 20 minutes, so the status you see on Redfin is the actual status of the home in real time. The status of a home is displayed under the address on every listing details page.
6. How do I find homes on Redfin? What if I want new listings emailed to me?
To search for homes, please go to www.redfin.com. Under ‘Find A Home,’ type in the area you wish to search by city, neighborhood, ZIP code or school district and indicate price range and number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Click the search button to get to the map page, where you can click on ‘More Options’ to narrow your search by property type, square footage and more. Enter all your search parameters, then click the orange ‘Update Search’ button in the bottom right to see your refined search results on the map page, as well as a list version of your results below the map.
To sign up for email alerts about new homes, look on the left hand side of the map page for the Instant Updates button. Switch this on and you’re good to go! For more information, visit the Redfin Help Center.
7. There is incorrect information about my home; how do I make changes?
If your home is not currently for sale, this information is provided by public records. Information on for-sale homes comes to us from the MLS if the home is listed by an agent and from Oodle.com if the home is listed as for sale by owner. If there is misinformation on Redfin, please contact either the local county assessor’s office, listing agent or Oodle.com with your request and Redfin will automatically update once those sources have been updated.
8. I can’t search on Redfin; is the website broken?

9. How do I contact a Redfin agent to ask questions or go on a tour?
As a full-service brokerage, Redfin has many tools to connect you with an agent in your city. On the top right corner of any listing page, you can see an agent who works in that area. Clicking on the box will take you to a page where you can contact the agent.
If you would like to schedule a tour, click the Go Tour This Home button displayed on the website or mobile app. Select up to six homes to tour, indicate your time preference and submit your request. A Redfin agent will follow up with you within a few business hours.
You can also visit https://www.redfin.com/blog/real-estate-agents to find agents in your area.
10. My home is not in the right place on the map; how can I get this fixed?
Redfin pulls map data from Google Maps. Occasionally, Google Maps experiences issues with new properties, unorthodox street names or city boundaries. Feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’d be happy to look into it!
