Try picturing Ellen DeGeneres walking over to the Playboy Mansion to ask Hugh Hefner for a cup of sugar, or Keanu Reeves running over to Leonardo DiCaprio’s house to return a drill he borrowed. Well, those scenarios aren’t too far from reality. We put together this list of a few not-so-likely celebrities who live next door to each other.
1. Hugh Hefner and Ellen DeGeneres
When Hugh Hefner throws a Playboy party, do you think he invites Ellen and Portia? He should have, considering they were neighbors from 2010 until this year. Given how famous the Playboy mansion is, Ellen must have known what she was getting into when she paid almost $40 million to live next door. Perhaps she likes the views!
2. Keanu Reeves and Leonardo DiCaprio
Keanu Reeves and Leonardo DiCaprio have been neighbors for quite a long time; DiCaprio bought his home in 1999 and Reeves moved in two years later. Leo’s “Wolf of Wall Street” character may have been from New York, but he is obviously a California boy at heart.
3. Queen Latifah and Amy Adams
Queen Latifah is a New Jersey native, and Adams was born in Italy, but now they live next door! Maybe the two can house sit for each other when they decide to travel back to their hometowns. The Queen threw some pretty epic parties in “Bringing Down the House” … Adams can possibly hustle on over to the Queen’s backyard for a joint pool party … minus the ex-convicts.
4. Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn and Adam Sandler
Kurt Russell and longtime girlfriend Goldie Hawn have been Adam Sandler’s neighbors since Sandler moved into the neighborhood with his wife back in 2008. If these two couples got together for a movie night, which movie do you think they would pick: Kurt’s “Death Proof,” Goldie’s “The First Wives Club,” or Adam’s “Happy Gilmore”?
