The original blog post is preserved below.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve upgraded to the latest version of Eclipse, you&#8217;ve probably noticed two things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the new UI is not particularly attractive<\/li>\n<li>more importantly, there&#8217;s no way to hide the toolbar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Luckily for us all, there&#8217;s a fix for the <a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.eclipse.org\/bugs\/show_bug.cgi?id=378835\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">missing toggle option<\/a>\u00a0that is fairly easy and that works on both Windows and Mac!<\/p>\n<p>First, Help &gt; Welcome.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width:300px;margin:0 auto 15px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redfin.com\/blog\/devblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/07\/Welcome-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1091\" style=\"border: 5px solid #ccc\" title=\"Welcome-1\" src=\"https:\/\/redfin.com\/blog\/devblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/07\/Welcome-1-300x125.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"125\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>This brings up the welcome screen, which lets you hit the second step: Window &gt; Show Toolbar.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width:300px;margin:0 auto 15px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redfin.com\/blog\/devblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/07\/show-toolbar.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1092\" style=\"border: 5px solid #cccccc\" title=\"show toolbar\" src=\"https:\/\/redfin.com\/blog\/devblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/07\/show-toolbar-300x155.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"155\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>The &#8216;show&#8217; command actually hides the toolbar, but we&#8217;ll run with it.
