Introducing Property-Level Data for Fire, Heat, Drought, and Storm Risk<\/b><\/p>\n

Our own research tells us that <\/span>three-quarters<\/span><\/a> of Americans worry about natural disasters when buying or selling a home, and that homeowners are <\/span>twice as likely<\/span><\/a> as renters to have researched climate issues before moving.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2021, we added property-level flood risk data from <\/span>FloodFactor<\/span><\/a> for over 94 million homes on Redfin.com. We also added regional-level data from <\/span>ClimateCheck<\/span><\/a> to help consumers understand the risk of fire, heat, drought, and storm for every neighborhood on our website in the contiguous U.S.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ClimateCheck\u2019s fire, heat, drought, and storm risk data is now available at the property-level for nearly every home on Redfin.com. This will help homeowners understand the risk of these threats to their home over a 30-year period\u2014the lifespan of a typical mortgage.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
