Here are seven key considerations for anyone contemplating their next housing decision with an eye toward the environment and its inherent risks.<\/p>\n

1. How Do Natural Disaster Risks Impact The Homes You\u2019re Looking At?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Look on websites like\u00a0First Street<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0Redfin<\/a>\u00a0to check individual properties for climate scores covering flood, fire, heat, wind, and air quality risks. There are many online resources that can be used to check for environment-related risks, including government\u00a0flood<\/a>,\u00a0fire<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0earthquake<\/a> maps.<\/p>\n

2. Estimate How Climate Risks Will Impact Your Home, Your Life \u2014 And Your Wallet<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The climate impacts everything from your\u00a0health<\/a>, to your\u00a0work<\/a>, to your\u00a0wallet<\/a>.
