From Utah to California to North Carolina, Redfin ranked the 10 most neighborly places in the U.S. Here are the top cities where residents socialize and neighbors lend each other a helping hand.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Salt Lake City is the most neighborly city in the United States this year. The <\/span>Utah capital<\/span><\/a> tops the list because residents help out their neighbors and prioritize volunteering in their daily lives, and it has a healthy pool of relatively affordable homes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next come <\/span>Portland, OR<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Kansas City, MO<\/span><\/a>, both places where people are bonded with their neighbors. Here\u2019s where to look if you need to borrow a cup of sugar.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is according to a Redfin ranking of the most neighborly metro areas in the U.S. For this report, metro areas are referred to as \u201ccities.\u201d We ranked places by their \u201cneighborliness\u201d based on factors including volunteerism, helping neighbors and community involvement.
