A wave of ultra-luxury deals made coastal Florida the center of America\u2019s priciest home sales in March. Other notable sales include Tom Cruise\u2019s former Beverly Hills estate and a Tennessee ranch.\u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan bought <\/span>7 Indian Creek Island Road<\/span><\/a>, a waterfront estate on a Miami island known as the \u201cBillionaire Bunker,\u201d for $170 million in March. That was far and away the most expensive home sale in the U.S. last month, and it was also the <\/span>most expensive home<\/span><\/a> ever sold in Miami-Dade County.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Coastal Florida is also home to the second-priciest sale of March, a modern <\/span>mansion<\/span><\/a> in Manalapan. A <\/span>Beverly Hills compound<\/span><\/a> previously owned <\/span>by Tom Cruise<\/span><\/a> rounds out the top three, bringing in $47 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All in all, seven of March\u2019s 10 most expensive home sales were in coastal Florida, which has\u00a0 become a <\/span>magnet for ultra-wealthy Americans<\/span><\/a>, partly because it has no state income tax. Outside of the Sunshine State, two of last month\u2019s priciest sales were in California, and one was a <\/span>Tennessee ranch.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All 10 sold for more than $30 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These are the most expensive U.S. home sales of March:<\/b><\/p>\n

  4. 9111 Collins Ave. Unit N-PH6, Surfside, FL 33154<\/span><\/a>: Sold for $44 million\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. 870 S. Ocean Blvd., Palm Beach, FL 33480<\/span><\/a>: Sold for $37.1 million\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. 160 Clarendon Ave., Palm Beach, FL 33480<\/span><\/a>: Sold for $36 million\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. 998 Dickinson Ln., Franklin, TN 37069<\/span><\/a>: Sold for $35 million\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
