Ellan is friendly, however, she preferred to communicate via texting instead of calling, that was very impersonal and lacked the customer service I expected for the commission I agreed to pay. It seemed I was the lead Realtor, due impart by me reaching out to Ellan 90% of the time, and I provided the sales tactic in the listing to get offers on my home. Ellen also never personally held an open house, it was always an associate that showed my home, that lacked salesmanship. Fortunately, for me my home did most of the work selling itself.

However, there were times when I would have to push her to get what I wanted such as an inspection and I thought her suggestion of maybe not having one was not wise due to it being a new house. Sometimes I thought she just wanted to get the sale done. She did email back and forth for us and after pushing her about what I wanted and was not compromising on it got better. She did have a lot of knowledge that the builder was able to utilize which helped in our final decision because the house did have a lot of work the builder still needed to complete. She did offer good suggestions of having the title company hold funds which helped. I would recommend her as she will fight for you in the end.

She also claims to work for you, but she doesn't. She works for the deal - which means the buyers. This is why people don't like real estate agents. We had to constantly go back and forth with her to get her to be on our side of the contract. It was one thing after another. One example is she said she didn't catch a VERY IMPORTANT detail in the contract and when I asked her about it, she tried to play it down and said the other realtor that wrote the contract probably just used a template and didn't realize it. It caused a lot of stress.

Ellen was very personable and professional. Our house was only on the market 3 days before we had a very good offer. She and her associates stayed on top of things for us and kept us up to date. My wife would have preferred more face-to-face interaction, but I was fine with phone calls and emails. I thought the Redfin electronic signature process was very convenient and easy to use.

Ellen did a great job helping me sell my home. She gave me excellent advice while I was fixing it up for sale. The day after it was listed, I got an all cash offer for nearly 10% over the list price. The market was heating up, but I would not have come out nearly so well without her knowledge and experience. She was equally helpful all the way through closing.

When the photographer showed up, it was cloudy. Ellen had them come back later on that day when the sun out. This made a huge difference in the pictures of our house! Everyone remarked how amazing the house looked in the pictures. We really appreciated her attention to detail.
