Hi! I’m Alfie! As resident pup here in this wonderfully re-imagined 1800’s mill building, I can’t wait to tell you about this place. From warm summer nights relaxing on the herring-bone brick patio to crisp fall days, this place sure has provided me with a ton of memories. Watch your step as we enter the bright, updated chef’s kitchen with stainless steel everything, including the farmhouse sink; this is where scraps from dinners made their way into my bowl. I can still hear the laughter, as parties would spill over into the family room, with exposed beams & a fire in the stove. Continue right into the cozy sunroom with views of my favorite yard! As the days & nights blend together we all grew older & I began to yearn for more relaxing activities to pass the time. These days, I find myself enjoying a slumber in the quiet study, lounging in the bright master bedroom with soaring ceilings & wood stove, or lapping up a sip of water in the luxurious master shower. The smaller humans love to snooze in their big rooms down the hall that share another updated bathroom. Aside from lots of napping- it’s never a dull moment here at the “mill” with a steady flow of visitors using our Air BnB guest suite above our reproduction garage/barn nearly every weekend! Folks from the city or other points loved to rub my belly. Sometimes, they would even join us on the backyard stone patio for a BBQ! This place sure is special - but now it’s time for my family & I to move onto our next adventure!
To give you a heartfelt, down-to-earth perspective on what makes this house a home, we asked 13-year-old Alfie, the family’s English cocker spaniel, for his personal take on it. Here’s what he had to say: Hi! I’m Alfie! As resident pup here in this wonderfully reimagined 1800’s mill building… I can’t wait to tell you a little bit more about this place. From the warm summer nights relaxing on the herring-bone brick patio to the crisp fall days running through the leaves, this place sure has provided me with a ton of memories. Enough to last a lifetime, or at least that‘s what my humans say! Watch your step and come along with me as we stroll into the bright, updated chef’s kitchen with shiny stainless steel everything, including the farmhouse sink… this is where scraps from family dinners and holidays have made their way into my bowl. I can still hear the laughter, as parties would spill over into the family room, with exposed beams and a roaring fire in the woodstove. Continue walking right into the bright and cozy sunroom with sweeping views of my favorite yard; and oh those flowers they’ve planted over the years! As the days and nights blend into each other, seasons pass, and the humans and myself grow older, I’ve begun to yearn for more relaxing activities to pass the time. These days, I find myself enjoying a relaxing slumber in the quiet study, lounging in the master bedroom with its bright light, tree line views, soaring ceilings, and wood stove, or lapping up a sip of water in the luxurious master bathroom shower. The smaller humans love to snooze in their spacious rooms down the hall that share another bright and roomy bathroom. Aside from my favorite pastime; napping… it’s never a dull moment here at the “mill” with a steady flow of visitors using our Air BnB guest suite above our detached reproduction antique garage/barn nearly every weekend. Folks from the city or other points far and wide loved to rub my belly. Sometimes, they would even join us on the stone patio in the back of the house for an impromptu barbecue amidst the park-like setting… Yeah, this place sure is special. But it’s time for my family and I to move onto our next adventure. We sure hope our home can be yours, so more great memories can be made in this special house surrounded by nature.
