From the seller: 25 years ago, we fell for 24 Salem Road at first sight. We could see that the street was a neighborhood and the little house that “was” could grow to the house it is today and the home we have enjoyed for many years. It has been our respite, quietly tucked away, providing us peaceful times in a natural setting. The large windows and framed glass doors provide views and a connection to nature year-round. The house is comfortable and relaxed when it is just our immediate family and comes alive when filled with our extended family and friends. The planning of the house and the property starting from the street was very intentional. The drive was rerouted so that the home greets you as you enter the property. The interior planning was done to create both formal and informal spaces that are separate but flow together. The open plan and flow from room to room and indoors to outdoors creates a very social setting that has been perfect for celebrations and large gatherings. 24 Salem Road is also located conveniently to the center of town making activities easily accessible. When our children were younger, they loved the weekly story hour at the Weston library and attended pre-school at St. Francis of Assisi church. Weston’s schools are blue-ribbon awarded and offer a rigorous academic curriculum as well as great art, music, and theater programs. We’ve loved being able to enjoy easy access to the track and tennis courts at the high school for recreation. The middle school houses a pool, where our children learned to swim through lessons offered by the Parks and Recreation Department.
