About Atlanta University
Center
Atlanta University Center, located between Downtown Atlanta and West End, is a historic and academic Atlanta neighborhood with collegiate quads and landmark brick architecture. The neighborhood’s character concentrates along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW at Northside Drive SW, where campus gates, murals, and a steady rhythm of students and staff shape the street scene. The AUC Robert W. Woodruff Library anchors daily life with study spaces and exhibitions. The Clark Atlanta University Art Museum adds a focused cultural note, while the Morehouse College Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel brings a contemplative landmark presence. Tree-lined walks connect to greenspace at the AUC Walking Trail and to transit at the Atlanta University Center MARTA station.
