Glenwood Hills, located between Glenwood Road and Columbia Drive, is a residential and wooded Candler-McAfee neighborhood with mid-century ranch homes and rolling, tree-lined streets. The neighborhood’s character concentrates around the Glenwood Rd–Columbia Dr corridor, where small storefronts, takeout counters, and everyday services set a practical, lived-in rhythm. Community touchstones include the East Lake Family YMCA, the East Lake Golf Club, and the 20th-century galleries at the Michael C. Carlos Museum. Homes tend toward brick, low-slung profiles with deep setbacks and generous yards. Green space and trails nearby shape an outdoors-forward routine. The setting reads suburban in texture while staying closely tied to Decatur and East Lake.
