Charming cottage that was built as a "Sears Kit Home" in 1925. It looks small from the street but it's actually a large, gracious-yet-comfortable home. Located in the heart of College Heights, an always popular neighborhood with sidewalks, mature trees and neighbors who know each other. Abundant character & tasteful details throughout. Inviting front porch for reading, relaxing and visiting with friends. 9' ceilings. Crown moldings. Hardwood floors. Classic four-over-one windows. Lots of natural light. 3 BR, 3 BA. Master on main. DOWNSTAIRS includes a large living room w/decorative fireplace...cozy study w/decorative fireplace & built-in bookcase/cabinets that could serve as a 4th bedroom...nice sized dining room with chair rail...large eat-in kitchen with spacious butler's pantry...master bedroom with sitting area and en-suite bath...great family room with fireplace and wet bar that spans the back of the house...and a deck off the family room that leads down to a fenced back yard. A classic staircase off the rear hallway leads UPSTAIRS to two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, a bath and a small playroom or homework/study room. Large floored attic provides great storage or room for future expansion. Under the house is a room that was once used as a home office for an interior designer and a one car garage. There's also a single car detached garage. Beautiful mature plantings in front, back and side yards. All in all, this is a wonderful home...with a unique history...on a great street... in a terrific neighborhood!
