Zoning
AG
Agriculture District
The AG District is intended to encompass areas where soil, water, vegetative and topographical conditions are well suited for the raising of crops and livestock or where essential public facilities or services do not yet or are not reasonably expected to serve the property in the near future. The purpose of this District is to facilitate orderly and efficient urban development by preventing the inappropriate and untimely intrusion of non-agricultural land uses into such areas. As development pressures dictate, certain areas within this District as recommended in the City's Comprehensive Plan may be rezoned to open additional lands for development. This District is also intended to encompass natural resource and open space areas and to provide for the preservation and protection of such areas.
