Research Applications District
The RA, Research Applications district is intended to: Accommodate research and research application activities as well as related manufacturing, business, and science activities that could benefit from location in or adjacent to, and a strong association with, the Research Triangle Park or other major center of research activity; Accommodate research facilities, pilot plants, prototype production facilities, and other manufacturing operations that require the continual or recurrent application of research knowledge and activity as an integral part of the manufacturing process; Ensure that such facilities are developed to help provide the district a campus or park like character that emphasizes natural characteristics and landscaping; and Encourage originality and flexibility in development, and to ensure that development is properly related to its site and to surrounding developments.
