R1PUD
Low Density Residential Planned Unit Development District
The purpose of a Low Density Residential, R-1 PUD is to permit development of land in a cohesive planned development in order to increase useable recreation space, provide for pedestrian circulation, and to prohibit the use of land which by reason of topography or floodplain contains some areas unsuitable for development, and to permit the cluster of lots in order to leave the unsuitable land as permanent open space. The purpose of a Medium Density Residential, R-2 PUD is the same as the R-1 PUD, except that the R-2 PUD permits increased density, a variety of housing types, limited commercial activity, and generally requires access to arterial or collector roadways.
