Eastlake, located between Lake Union and I-5, is a residential and waterfront Seattle neighborhood with a houseboat-lined shoreline and a compact commercial strip. The neighborhood’s character concentrates along Eastlake Avenue E near E Lynn Street, where espresso bars, corner pubs, and small eateries keep the sidewalks active. Iconic pillars include the Eastlake Bar & Grill, the Sea Scout Base on Lake Union, and the Center for Wooden Boats just to the south. Craftsman homes and mid-century apartments rise on the hillside above the water. Pocket parks and the lakefront path shape a walk-and-bike routine. Seaplanes, marinas, and rowing shells add a working-lake backdrop.
