Future Development District
The intent of the FD Future Development District is to allow the use of land (not served with municipal utilities) in a manner that will not preclude future development at urban densities, pending the extension of municipal utilities or market conditions that justify development at urban densities. Land in this district shall be rezoned consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, pending the proper timing for the economical provision of municipal sewer and water, streets, parks, storm drainage, and other public utilities and services, so that orderly development can
occur. Where feasible, conservation subdivisions (pursuant to Section 4.56: Conservation Subdivision Overlay District) are encouraged for residential uses in this district.
