Shoreland Residential District
The R-1S Shoreland Residential District is primarily intended to provide for single-family residential uses within the three historic lake communities of the Town. These areas are composed of properties both on and off of the lakeshore, some of which have been in existence for many years prior to the adoption of this Chapter. The intention of this District is to preserve the existing lakeside charm and appeal of these communities, protect the water quality of the lakes and allow property owners to maintain and improve their properties. To that end there are several requirements and recommendations for building and site work within the District.
