Rich was very pleasant and helpful when deciding who to go with for a lender. We did have a few hiccups along the way regarding the address of the property. It was also a little funky going through the application process, as I had given details to Rich over the phone then separately started an application online, so that had to be cleared up. His office staff always jumped on things quickly and even with a few hiccups, we were cleared to close a few days early (even on a 30 day close).

There were some repeated requests for the same information, some incorrect statements that needed corrected, and our closing was delayed a little (likely the fault of the builder and / or attorney). However, it was still more pleasant than working with other mortgage companies we have used in the past, and our closing was still weeks faster than anybody else we have used. We closed around 2 or 3 weeks after signing our offer which is faster than anyone else in town.

Rich was great! We were very fastidious and insisted that all paperwork be “just right” and Rich remained patient and helpful throughout the entire process. Rich is very knowledgeable, and he was always available to answer our questions, including at nights and on weekends. He went above and beyond to work with us when the seller postponed closing at the last minute, and he even called to follow-up after we got through the difficult closing.

After shopping around for rates with various lenders, we ultimately decided to use Movement Mortgage (which was recommended by our real estate agent Allen Wyde). We appreciated Rich's quick response to emails and the time he spent meeting with us to go over our questions regarding our mortgage. The rates were very comparable to local rates, even those from Credit Unions. Ultimately, the best choice for a mortgage is the best rate, however, we were very happy with the enthusiasm and service provided by Rich at Movement Mortgage. We would definitely recommend.

Considering how up-in-the-air the mortgage process can be sometimes, you want the person in charge of your mortgage application to be on the ball and very communicative. I spoke with Rich on nights, weekends, and even when he was on a weekend trip with his family. We were constantly in touch, making sure that everything was on track for closing. We got a great rate, too. Rich was even able to extend our 30-day lock-in to make sure we got the best rate, as he though rates would rise, which they did. That alone is going to save us thousands. I'd definitely use Rich again for my next mortgage.
