We were very selective about our lender and we had some very specific criteria in mind. The first thing was that the lender needed to have a track record of retaining their loans and servicing them! Most lenders will sell the loan within the first year, leaving you no choice about the quality of service you will receive from that lender. CHASE may not be for everyone and there are much easier places to get into a home loan, but we find that CHASE is interested in creating lifetime customers. Shon Slack was an excellent partner in this process. He was calm and collected, straight forward in his communications and helpful in traversing the financing milestones. At the end of the day, we saved over $5K over the original lender we began our home purchase with and we value their services.
