First tech agreed to close in 3 weeks and they did stick to the promise. I am with first tech for more than 4 years now and they still rock.

Overall unprofessional - can be snide and not too tactful. Most phone calls are unanswered, and emails are responded to slowly. I would usually need to leave a voicemail, send further emails and be at wits end before receiving response. Other issues - mistakes in figures, poor or no explanation on calculations, and especially rudeness during negotiation. That said, I would still recommend Advantis as a whole because they seem to offer the best interest rates and it's good to support a local credit union.

While I got the interest rate I wanted and was tipped off by Kimberly by a rate drop, overall the level of service from her and the Advantis Credit Union mortgage team was less than stellar. Throughout the process, I had numerous questions about the loan process. Phone calls to Kim almost always went unanswered. Most of the time I left a voice message, which if returned at all, was normally very late. Slow email responses were the norm as well. The tipping point came when I was presented with my final GFE and loan numbers. Candace (the SR. Loan Officer) emailed me this info, with the wrong downpayment amount, and did not include my Redfin rebate. When I asked her to call me on the phone to explain all the amounts and fees, my request went unanswered. It was only when I called the main number and explained my frustration to the Mortgage manager, did I start getting the results I expected.

Kim was very helpful and resourceful. She was quick and getting back to us and gave us great information and suggestions.

Very busy, but knows her stuff. Will take time with you when you have her attention.

Advantis was great to work with. They helped us close a week early and saved us an extra $500 on closing costs.
