Laura is a personable and friendly loan agent to work with, and was very prompt and efficient at providing information when I first reached out for rate quotes. The closing process was very confusing and difficult, however. I'm not sure if this is due to my lending team (Laura, underwriter, processor, etc.) or Bank of America. At times, I couldn't get in touch with anyone to figure out why there were delays, and couldn't figure out where the delays originated from, when I submitted all requested documentation within a day, on average. The only reason why I went with BoA is because they had the lowest rate by far for a 30-year jumbo loan, and I talked with at least 8 other lenders, including local banks and brokers, online brokers, and other national banks. BoA ended up closing a couple days late, but they paid me $500 since they had extended a "Close On Time" guarantee. If you're shopping rates, I would still recommend reaching out to a loan agent with BoA, because their rates were unbeatable by a big margin.

B.O.A. sometimes gets a bad rap as a big box bank but Laura was excellent and our loan closed seamlessly and on time within 30 days. I clicked right away with her personality and would strongly recommend her to anyone. We worked with her on a unique BOA doctor portfolio loan which allowed us to only put 10% down and still get a very competite rate on a jumbo loan. It made us less competitive in bidding wars but we ended up winning on a house anyway thanks to a great redfin agent!
