Overwhelming sometimes

TIM WAS KNOWLEDGABLE AND HELPFUL, THROGH A VERY PAINSTEAKING PROCESS.

Tim was phenomenal. He was always available to field my calls or texts. He did everything asked of him and more. Even when I had lots of questions, he never ignored my calls, or got short with me, but stayed very patient and willing to help however possible.

Tim was very kind and was always available to answer questions and give advice throughout the entire process. He made everything easy, which is awesome because acquiring a loan is such an overwhelming process! I would definitely choose Bay Equity again because of Tim?s hard work.

Tim "TK" Kay was fantastic! I consider myself to have very high expectations of service when conducting business. Some may consider me difficult to deal with in fact due to my unconventional negotiation tactics. TK was so cool and put me at ease that I honestly was not nervous about the transaction for my new home. Particularly in my loan, I pressed on TK on obtaining clarification on a Veteran related issue applicable to Veterans in Texas. Instead of putting his ego out to block my efforts for expediency sake, he embraced the challenge. He took the time to have an issue involving Texas Tax Code clarified. This resulted in immediately preserving my monthly cash flow by hundreds of dollars per month, Money that would have been lost to property taxes. As a 100% TDIU rated disabled Veteran who lives on a fixed income of a state pension, this was huge to me. I am forever grateful to TK and Bay Equity for this. Give this man a RAISE! Everyone was so kind and patient throughout the entire process. Communicated in a timely manner and made themselves readily accessible. Couldn?t ask for a better experience being a first time home buyer.

We were referred to Tim and we reached out immediately after we took a tour of the property we liked. After the tour it was apparent we needed to get pre-approved as soon as possible. We filled out the application and uploaded our documents and within a very short period Tim messaged us to let us know he received our information and would call us shortly. He explained the next steps and expectations very clearly and was able to get us pre-approved that night. From the beginning until the end, we could not have been more fortunate to have Tim as our point of contact. We would message him on an almost daily basis as we were working to understand the process, align our expectations and provide the necessary documentation they required. Tim is always available and willing to take calls, text or email and we couldn't be more thankful he was there for us as we went through the process to purchase our first home. Very responsive to queries/clarifications

Last time I went through the process to buy a house one of the loan processors was not very pleasant and made me feel awful. Given that experience I was not looking forward to going through the experience again. However, Tim Kay, and the Bay Equity team, made the transaction smooth and straightforward. I really appreciated the professionalism of everyone involved in this process.

Over promising and under delivering on every key aspect of the process. The lender told us he would match any competitor's rates without problem, but it turned out he can't and his rates are uncompetitive (0.5% difference in interest rates with other lenders). The lender told us "it's too good to be true" and that other lenders would not close on time. We had to postpone closing once for unknown reasons (lender blaming appraisal coming late, even though we waived our 3 day review contingency rights). When we arrived at the bank (to withdraw the cash needed to close) one business hour before our closing meeting, the lender rushed us to buy his points to reduce the interest rate we chose, invoking a regulatory issue. Indeed we had too much credit (seller + lender) and were told about this issue at the very last minute once we were out of all our home buying contingencies, which put us at risk of losing our earnest money as well as the home. We were fortunate to maneuver (out of what looked like predatory lending practices) by agreeing with the seller to postpone once again the closing date and have seller credit factored into the final purchase price instead. As a result we now have $5k+ missing for our planned repairs - which could have been handled directly by the seller, had we known about the issue earlier.
