Well, compared to the inspector we had a used in the past, Robert and HomeFront Inspection was a huge breath of fresh air. Very professional, respectful and worth every penny. Robert performed a pre-inspection and gave us an oral report in person directly after the pre-inspection. (We left him alone to perform his inspection and did not follow him around from room to room, which we could have done, but which probably would have slowed him down.) He answered our questions on the spot in a professional and complete manner. He e-mailed us a detailed written report the next day. Both the oral report in person and the written report were thorough and complete and addressed the concerns we had shared with Robert in advance

Robert was proficient, thorough, and had a good eye to spot both pluses and minuses. I was very pleased with his work.

I am not sure I am very happy with Robert's house inspection. We have found few flaws, windows not in order, fan doesn't work, outlet doesn't work, etc that I think Robert should found beforehand. At least those are things I would love to know beforehand. And it would make his judgement more credible to me. Robert found few flaws regarding rodent and sewerage pipe system. I think he was very good at explaining all the things he thinks we should be worried about. I definitely appreciate his help for finding the problems. Also, Robert didn't do the roof inspection. I was expecting and better roof inspection from the a professional. He, made the roof judgement call just by looking from the ground. I think he could have done a better job of doing the roof inspection. It is extremely difficult for me to tell how well he did until I find all the flaws he missed but right now I am not super happy and I would probably shop around before going to him again.

Robert was great! He was thorough, followed up by email, and gave us everything we needed.

I was only able to make it to the summary of what the inspection results were, rather than watching him inspect everything, but whatever. He told us about small repairs that we should make, which things we should probably contact a contractor about and what things we could do ourselves. The report he sent us had the pictures he took and described in the summary the day of, which were great to refer back to. :)

He was very thorough I only wish he would have communicated with us a bit more throughout the inspection.

We were pretty disappointed in the interaction we had with Robert. We were told to meet him at the house and be present for the inspection, which we did. He did his thing and preferred to inspect the property undisturbed prior to giving his report. I understand this, as he can be much more methodical without having us follow him around and ask questions. However, following his inspection he did very little to physically show us round the house to the places where he had found concerns. His report was well organized and detailed but he had failed to notice the issue with our balcony and the water that was leaking through the sliding glass door. We also felt like the fee charged for the inspection was a bit on the high side for what our property is.

The inspection was thorough, and review was completely understandable. We knew what exactly needed to be fixed on our new construction, and it ensured we have the perfect home to move into when we closed later in the week,

Rob wasn't that thorough of an inspector, was slightly rude, and spent a disproportionate amount of time trying to be impressive sounding rather than thorough. Another home buyer and I agreed to split the cost of an inspection -- in this market when a house has 8 pre-inspections, it's stupid for everyone to pay for their own on every one of 3-8 offers (typical for Seattle home buyers these days). Despite agreeing to this, Robert made it clear that we weren't his client and he basically owed us nothing -- despite both of our real estate agents being present and him knowing that we were splitting the cost. I understand from a liability sense he wanted to be clear, but he didn't even want to talk to us. Anyway, that's fine -- I don't need my inspector to be warm, but it was a rough start. Other inspectors I've worked with were happy to let me walk through with them and ask questions along the way -- after all, this is your chance to get intimately familiar with a house. Robert would have none of it -- and not just because we weren't his clients, but because he doesn't like when people follow along -- another huge turn off. At the beginning of the inspection, I asked him to check out a few things I was concerned about. He forgot (or didn't bother) looking into them. After he showed us the ~hundred pictures he took of mostly not-important "findings", I asked about those things and if I recall correctly, at least one of them was notable (though not deal-breaking -- this was a pretty nice and well cared for house). Anyway -- there are a lot of better inspectors out there. I much preferred working with Kris Kent.

We worked with Robert in purchasing our first home in 2011. As first-time homebuyers, we appreciated the thoroughness of his report. Since then, we worked with him on a pre-inspection (for a home we did not ultimately win), and our new home. He is polite, answered all our specific questions, and always got the reports to us the very next day - even on weekends (with a verbal report on the spot). Highly recommend.

Prompt, methodical, and thorough - just what we needed for the home inspection!

Robert was very professional and followed up with us quickly for his services. He was at our house for about 3-4 hours on his inspection service. He let us know about all the major, minor and informational details that assisted us in deciding on our home and moving forward for making it a happy one. Robert did miss quite a few items, especially in the electrical and attic areas. He provides an appliance inspection as well. He OK'd all of our appliances. Though, we found that our washer was completely broken and our dish washer wasn't too far behind. He did end up alerting us to the general areas that contractors were able to elaborate on. Because of this, we were happy overall. He had some tools that were impressive that other inspectors don't have. Overall, Robert was professional and provided an easy to understand summary and very helpful comprehensive report. He is a true jack of all trades and because of this we are OK with his general knowledge that led us to bring contractors in to elaborate.

It was great. Robert even video conferences with us after the inspection to answer all our questions since we were moving from out of town and could be present for the inspection.
