Dan is very detail oriented and was able to explain his findings clearly to us. We found him very knowledgeable about not only pointing out problems, categorizing which things are critical and which are minor, and also suggesting possible solutions. This is the second time we've had Dan inspect a home for us. The first time, he found significant issues and saved us from buying a home that would have been a money pit. The second time, Dan found that the house had very few issues, which gave us the confidence to proceed with our purchase. We recommend him highly.

We liked Dan and his services. He appeared very thorough, gave us a long (60ish page) document with pictures, notes on problems, and suggestions on the best ways to fix minor problems (we didn't have any major problems with our home - it wasn't that old). He also offered and did come back to take a look at the roof after the snow melted, and has offered to answer questions in the future. I definitely thought he did a great job, and would certainly recommend him. My only caveats are that I thought it was a little pricey, and I am not that handy - so I may not be the best able to evaluate home inspectors.

Dan was extremely thorough and professional with his inspection. He was on time and completed his report very quickly after our inspection. We were able to use the inspection in our conversation with the sellers to negotiate a few needed improvements, and the evidence presented really helped us make our case. His service does cost more than some other local inspectors, but he was available when we needed him.

Dan DeStefano of Advent Home Inspections was very thorough and professional. He showed a little bit before time, let us tag along during inspection and explained all the details and findings. He presented us within 48 hours with a very detailed inspection report complete with pictures he took during the inspection. He is a little bit on the expensive side but we felt assured after walking with him on the thorough inspection. He is a member of American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and was recommended to us by a friends who were also very happy.

Dan was the most thorough home inspector I've ever seen. Having closed on a number of properties, I've seen good and so-so. He was excellent. His report was accurate, insightful and legible! Not like the chicken-scratch notes some will sell you. The information was great to have during our negotiations, and he was helpful with recommendations of resources as we moved forward with our purchase. The next time we need an inspector, we're hoping Dan travels!
