Bill was extremely professional and very detail-oriented during his home inspection process. He was very thorough and took 3 hours to inspected every aspect of the house. Since we are first-time home owners, he also provided additional tips on how to maintain the home. Unfortunately, he missed a few plumbing issues that we discovered after we moved in the house. So make sure you flush all your toilets!

I chose to use the services of Bill for my home inspection based on my agent’s recommendation. The inspection contingency deadline was also extended by the seller’s agent since I chose to use Bill’s service. I guess that explains his likability in the field . Bill’s services exceeded my expectations in spite of a minor scheduling error. Bill was very apologetic and gave me a credit for the scheduling error. On the day of the inspection, Bill performed the visual inspection of the interior of the home followed by the inspection of the exterior. He was very patient in explaining to me the details of all the appliances and the HVAC system. The inspection lasted over three hours and Bill was extremely thorough walking me through not only the aspects of the house that needed attention, but also how to bring things up to the current Virginia building code. Finally, Bill gave me the inspection report within hours after the inspection. I would highly recommend Bill Duncan’s services to anyone needing a home inspection.

Bill is definitely a very good home inspector. He is very well qualified and identified numerous things that were safety issues, repair issues or things to monitor. He was punctual and very easy to work with. His prices are competitive and he was well worth the money. I wish I had him as an inspector on the first home I bought. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Bill came highly reviewed on Angie's list and he didn't disappoint. He was meticulous throughout the house - took 3 hours to climb every attic hole and basement crevice, inside and outside, and answered all of our important and unimportant questions. Granted some people may not want an inspection to take 3 hrs, but if you're spending this amount of money then we consider 3hrs to be well worth it to understand what we're buying. His write-up was very thorough. Thankfully we didn't find much that needed fixing, but the things we did find he even wrote down quick tutorials and instructions on what to do - whether hire someone, DIY, or what brands to get at home dept. Overall we felt very comfortable in his hands and will probably use him again once our remodel is done to assess the work.
